What's the point if the smuggler's cave in the first area? I just explored it and killed the leader and his mole rat, but didn't get anything in particular as a reward. Also

Does this game have all the gay shit that later ES installments have? Level scaling and randomized loot?
i think the loot drops is RNG but no level scaling you will get fucking clapped if you go where you're not strong enough for
Loot is exactly like Morrowind: enemies drop what they're wearing/holding and there's hundreds of static, hand-placed items strewn about.
There is no level scaling. Every area and zone has enemies and content specific to it. All loot is handplaced and enemies are always the same strength.
However while Act 1 is absolutely incredible with this, and makes the game look and feel like a 10/10 Eurojank title. Act 2 starts to dip in quality. Not by much, but it's there. Then Act 3 drops the ball entirely and it's hot shit.
But Act 1 and 2 were good enough for me to consider it a good purchase. I got 60 hours out of it and I don't regret it.
Dark Souls but what if we instead made it first person and super jank
Dark Souls
You almost got me with that bait, anon. Have a (You) for making me laugh.
I was running around in the forest in cuanacht and some big ghostly knight motherfucker who looked like a dark souls boss came out of nowhere and kicked my ass. He had no name above his giant healthbar and nothing I tried did any damage to him.
Anyone else know who this dude was?
He's basically Nemesis and stalks you during Wyrd nights. He appears in Act 1 as well, surprised you didn't see him. Anyway, he's very high level, you'll be able to fight him eventually or if you get creative
That's the guy who stalks you in the first act and rings the bell then disappears when you look at him.
He's a Wyrd Knight, a foredweller that hunts you.
What's your build like? I killed him the first time I met him.
You got all of those cuanacht items before spending a single night outdoors? I suspect dishonesty is afoot.
No, that's my build when I finished the game. I was mid way or most way through Act 2 when I got bored because I was too overpowered, so I just rushed to finish the game. Act 3 can basically be entirely skipped too, so I did that.
Everything about summons suck, their design, their AI, their behavior, everything. Was it really that hard to include unique summons instead of some generic mobs? Also, what the hell is the "Summon Keeper" spell? How does that even make sense? I was really excited when I first saw the summon skill tree. Magic is simply spamming 1-2 spells the entire game. Some buff spells would be really good especially for spellblade builds.
Deep into act 2 rn and that named buggane in the smuggler's cave is still the hardest fight, even worse than the night stalking boss.
He's endearing before becoming aggressive.
Is it worth investing into the crafting tree? I see that I have 90%+ "garbage" outcome for armor crafting recipes, am I supposed to take the passive "you can no longer make weak items" to get rid of that?
You can bypass that by investing more materials into the recipe. So if it calls for 3 leather and 5 iron, you can invest 30 iron to better your odds.
Increasing your crafting skill changes the percentages in your favor. You can start by crafting lockpicks with iron ore and leather with hides.
What's the point if the smuggler's cave in the first area? I just explored it and killed the leader and his mole rat
I went their straight after i landed on the beach but the mole was way too strong for me. I could cheese it, but that took forever so i decided to come back later.
Is there ANY point to fishing at all? I literally never catch anything besides trash.
It's an achievement to catch all fish.
I've been wondering that myself. Aside from the Really Special Herring I haven't gotten anything special or unique. There's got to be something, given this game's tendencies for exploration and secrets. Hell, there's even a different fishing rod you can get from the ghost boy.
Was it really that hard to include unique summons
lol
I've been progressing through the story fairly quickly. I got to cuanacht at lvl 17
Honestly i've never played many rpgs so my build is just mostly a generalist heavy armor melee build.
their design
I agree I would have liked a palette swap
their AI, their behavior
Its not bad for some of the trash tiers like the corpse eaters. But most of them are just passive, and struggle to attack
rings the bell then disappears
???
Don't remember this
I think they changed it with the recent patch. Whenever he spawns you hear a bell toll.
he rings a cowbell every time he spawns then begins slowly moving towards you
everybody says the game gets really easy after early game
still have trouble with the groups of 3 kamelot deserters who drain all of my health potions and food
What points do i spec into? Adhd makes me panic parry too early all the time.
the KKKamelot faggots are the worst because they turtle hard behind their shields and when you have 3+ of them it becomes dogshit
3rd time through act 1
still finding new stuff
pirates put this guy on their flags to scare people
I remember the demo kinda sucked.
Not sure if I am too interested in the full thing.
im pretty sure theres a few good things in there, including easy access to a great bow. also you get like 2-300 of that crafting material
I seriously thought this game came out years ago and was about you playing as Mordred trying to kill undead King Arthur, turns out that's ANOTHER grimdark King Arthur game that has nothing to do with this one. Why do they keep doing this shit to my nigga the king? Is it revenge against Anglos?
sonic did it too, lmao
Try making a porcupine crit blocking build.
Who can I romance besides Alisa? And will romancing Alisa lock me out of other ones?
Just pirate it if you want to try it. That's what I did, and ai'll probably end up buying it when it goes on sale
King Arthur is the ideal Anglo male and is the subject of many humiliation rituals
Apparently there's a respec potion that exists in the game. Im level 22 . Can I do this and still be an effective 2h wielder.
I can fix her
Can you romance the tribal chick from the tutorial island and does she appear again in act 1?
Just killed mistbearer and dal riata guy invited me to join his group? Is there any shit locked up if i join?
Also does 2H weapon heavy attack dodge combo kinda trivialized the game? And why tf battle axe or giant axe normal white weapon outscaled my blue giant sword? I liked the +60 stamina after kill
You mean the Alchemist Guild? No, it doesn't lock you out of anything.
Are shields any good at all? I feel like it'd be better to just dual wield since you'll do more damage and can still parry
A grail?
Let alone that this retreads the Edgier Arthurian thing that Soul Sacrifice did back on Vita
I'd say the difference is that shield turtles do get a higher tier variant, where the archers cap out very early.
Generally i think the archers are the more annoying, especially when they aggro just within your render range, and pile up there, meaning you are having a really hard time finding out where t hey are.
Any good retelling of the legend centers on Arthur ultimately failing.
And any good retelling will do the buildup on the fact the Round Table in the end did almost everything correctly.
I think, Arthur is a simpler story when held next to Norse Myths, because the moral is actually comprehendible...while Norse for all its epic setpieces are a parable around the idea of what a vain death is, and what glory is. But there certainly is a pagan overlap..
I'd say FROM software is the closest the industry has gotten so far
1H is balanced around dual wielding. Shield do not grant any bonuses as a item class, instead some of them do have % deflect on parry.
Dark Souls but what if we instead got rid of third person rollslop consoletards and made the game actually immersive
The Souls influence is palpable but not nearly as egregious as Lords of the Fallen which tried and failed miserably even at the cryptic gibberish Souls dialogue
aw shit, here he comes
So I fought Davy Jones and got his sword. Is the special move it does any good? Seems like it would be fun to use if it goes through enemies.
if these dudes had the rollslop budget of all these one trick pony games they would easily blow elden slop out of the water. easily
funny how this game is like 5% dark souls, 55% elder scrolls and 50% gothic, yet everyone (who has not played it) keeps talking about dark souls.
wolves end up bodyblocking or pushing you
skeleton is so slow it may as well not even attack
keeper can't hit the broad side of a barn even at point blank range
corpse eater dies in two hits from even the weakest enemies
Grindylow was the best summon in Act 1 but I have a feeling it will soon fall off hard. Is there a replacement for him in Act 2?
Basically. I just ignore people who make any dark souls comparisons.
So Arthur’s soul was created by the foredweller queen the White Lady to be her son, then he was reborn as a human after being murdered. And now she’s punishing everyone with plagues and the wyrdness because she wants his soul back and they keep bringing him back to life
You should be able to talk to Hob about this. Does he want to go be a faerie prince for eternity?
Will you pet him?
i like crystal lizards, they're hard to hit and make good distraction
he wants death, complete and total oblivion, he doesn't even seem to be aware of his forerunner origin
That’s my point you ought to be able to explain this to him. He’s not going to rest, the only thing keeping the Pale Lady from taking her “beloved son” is Arthur being trapped in this cycle of resurrections
This game is DX11 right? Anybody tried VXDK with it to see if it's free performance?
You can get the Assassin summon in act 2, they're kind of retarded but have good HP and most importantly can heal themselves with a potion
How the fuck do you hit those stupid wisp wyrdspirits in the side quest with the vegetable tribe guy as melee? They are so quick.
yet everyone (who has not played it) keeps talking about dark souls
It's the zoomers' only point of reference, and one that paints them (or so they think) as a hardcore gamer for knowing it. You figure out why they resort to it all the time.
decide to put game aside and wait for bug fixes, 100% intend to return because I think the game is great, so delete save so I can start fresh and save my respec pots, kill the guy whose name starts with 'C' in the beginning who wants to kill Arthur, etc when the time comes
keep thinking about the game and wanting to restart already
Jank is funny because you're thinking in your head
this is bad, this is bad, that is bad, this over here is dumb
but then when you stop playing you just want to go right back to it
lol
lmao even
Even as mage they are kinda unhitable unless its homing or arcing projectiles
I'd try the fucking throw potions
I wish the world felt more alive. It doesn't seem to react much to anything you do.
I havent done that quest yet but if its those same spirits that appear during the night you can equip the helm from the prologue that does damage when you are hit. they self destruct when they rush you. even on veteran survival they die in one hit.
If its not those guys then lol idunno
Is there a way to stop the guy from going on the holy grail quest or nah? Apparently that's the only way Kamelot doesn't invade their asses
Also I'm kinda pissed I don't get to have Arthur's shield even if he says it's just a basic bitch shield. Excalibur I understand because it's fuckhueg, but the shield is just my size and it's got that neat Mother Mary icons on it
Alright I'll try that.
I think so. Called Wyrdspirits or somethjing. Anyway, I don't remember taht helmet so I must've missed it, but I'll just try throwing splash potions.
so I must've missed it
If you ever do it again its behind a locked door in the pit where they dumped the corpses. Theres a boss fight in there.
Armor design is pretty great but holy fuck the Keeper set is horrid.
Worth respeccing a bit for Galahad's mace? It requires 9 strength and 3 spirituality. The effect is pretty cool with 50 burn on hit.
This game feels very incomplete. It better sell well and get a "definitive edition"
waaaait there's a boss in that quest, I just broke the artifact and it ended?
it's absolutely incomplete, the lore and character entries don't even work, act 3 is blatantly unfinished though I seem to be in the minority in that I like the region itself
Im talking about the island asylum. the beginning of the game. Theres two bosses with their own intro cutscenes.
Just use blood transfusion on the floating skulls.
I found a cool secret in river just above a waterfall. The water disappears and it turns into a grassy field and there's a valuable chest full of treasure in the middle of it.
*if you dive to the bottom
After grinding bandits for a few days, one of them dropped a halberd. I wonder if level affects loot. That, or maybe a patch added it?
Has a duplication glitch been discovered yet?
Stats aren't really that important. 1% is jack fucking shit. Usually it's best to hit your requirements and go Endurance for HP and carry weight, Practicality for headshot dmg and money, or Perception for crit which is the best point per pound DPS stat
just use cheat engine you gay fag
But that's cheating
decided to make a build around that crit spear you get 5min into the game
1 shot most basic enemies
if not then bleed/fire finishes them off
for big enemies just slow time and spam attack so bleed destroys them
Eventually the spear will drop off but man its been carrying me hard.
how do you guys make enough money? I adventure a lot and can barely pay for the titan armor lmao
magic is all just reskinned fireball projectiles, some hitscan
Fucking laaame. I'm respeccing to a melee guy unless I find a spell that isn't just le damage. Actually interacting with the parry/dodge mechanics is more engaging than just kiting niggas and pelting fireballs anyways.
Are there many dialogue skill checks for spiritualism?
there's actually a game coming out called Legends of the Round table that's more or less the whole legend played straight
If you want to cheese you can spend a respec on dumping every point into practicality for ~500% sell price.
could always get the cheese spell
I restarted because magic is just 'use the fireball until act 3'
You will find lots of other spells, but they do nothing compared to that fireball lmao
Most of your damage is going to come from perks and the weapon itself, attributes can/should be balanced a bit so you can use whatever gear you want.
You can just make farming runs where you teleport between big bandit camp spawns and haul their gear back to sell, you barely make money selling shit unless you dump points into practicality though. Some people seem to do a cash run where they just dump everything in practicality, make more money than they know what to do with then respec into the combat build they want to go with later.
that looks right up my alley.
Kinda giving me king of dragon pass vibes
I feel like that is such cheese AND respec'ing loses you your bonus stats atm.
You CAN put 1 in practicality and 1 into the tree for trading and get 40% prices if you don't want to 'cheese', though. That's what I did
I feel like that is such cheese AND respec'ing loses you your bonus stats atm.
Bonus stats as in shrines? Do you get them back if you revisit the shrines or do you permanently gimp your character by respeccing?
pirate it when it comes out, they couldn't help themselves. yes it's probably Sir Morien but I don't give a shit anymore.
I don't know if it's shrines but it IS items (like the bone, or the HP items), It happened to me
oh FFS
of fucking course they did
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAIEEEEEE MY MINMAXED CHARACTER oh well I'm still deleting shit in a few punches
*SIP* now THAT is a game I would play
Is this shit fucking terminal? Like a disease? For fuck's sake.
don't care
Are there more choices in this than in Elder Scrolls? I hate how straight forward Oblivion and Skyrim is
can you craft out of your stash? I'm tired of carrying around so many crafting items but i'm compelled to gather and craft in games like these
You can straight up lock yourself out of quests by picking the wrong dialogue options, many quests have different choices (mostly on who to side with) with no clear right or wrong. For good and bad there is very little handholding in this game.
yes, you can craft and sell straight from your stash
You can craft with items from your stash (and sell to vendors from your stash) but for some reason you can't upgrade items with stashed items, probably a dev oversight.
2-3 practicality, do the stagfather quest so you can craft the spooky arrows
I'd say hitting 2 practicality is the most important, since that doubles your sell prices.
After that you can start teleporting between bandit camps during night to get spooky resources and roll the fucking gatcha.
Craft in all 3 forms? Yes
Sell from stash? Yes
Turn in quest rewards? Lmao no.... but the quest tracker will count against your stash total, for things like...... Ether Flowers
Upgrade? Nope
Its also missing the QoL feature of one button dumping your entire weighted crafting material into stash
Thank fuck. I just dropped 80 units of weight. I feel like I can actually loot everything now.
even though it got Blacked, thanks for sharing this because it helped jog (heh) my memory of a game I was trying to remember for years Vengeance of Excalibur
I've almost entirely avoided handcrafting items because you get so many good items from loot and questing anyway, gold is what's going to be your limiting factor when upgrading gear so you don't need a boatload of crafting materials anyway.
can't upgrade from stash
Fine, whatever.
game still charges you the gold cost either way
Is there any good dagger in act2/3? I wanted to swtich to some sword/dagger action but I only have act1 stuff.
Also is there some heavy armor for melee builds that isnt based on having low life?
this seems actually kind of kino despite a black knight
can't upgrade from stash
you can
NTA but I was unable to upgrade my gloves because I didn't have leather in my inventory, had to get it from the stash.
It's not very good, is it? Playing 2H necromancer and I'm still bored.
It's nice to see a new setting though, at least for me.
In act 1 he appears fromt he start, in the distance, but fades the moment you look to where he is.
Anyone knows where the greatswords of the game are? I found Giant´s greatsword, but inthe end im going unga-bunga with the huge club found next to druid´s grave.
I genuinely think the combat, stat system and quests in act 1 are more enjoyable than skyrim.
Quests in a video game are more exciting than Skyrim's
Daring today.
Currently wearing the +20 stam fleshy armor. Is there any heavy chest armor that I have missed? Never found a recipe for some sort of heavier knight armor.
im able to upgrade from stash, granted im on a pirated version. The materials DO show up as grey (not available) but the upgrade button still works.
Spoonfeed me, what type of game exactly am i in for if i buy this? Is it like 3d Elder Scrolls, or is it more of a Dark Souls 1 deal? I've seen people mention chapters/acts, which makes it seem more like real time Baldur's Gate, so what is it?
granted im on a pirated version
That's why. Current version greys out the material AND charges you the gold cost without actually upgrading.
yes questing is stuctured like bg3 but you can always go back to old acts. though I would say much less choice, there are different approach to take to solve stuff, mostly in act1, but it kinda breaks the game cause dalogue favore normal route.
damn
how did they fuck it up more after the pirate version released?
on the bright side at least its just a few materials that stack so not a big deal to go get them.
Is there any point into buying the house on the shore?
The exploration and movement is more like (but better) than a TES game in the sense that as soon as you're done with the tutorial you can wander off in any direction and completely ignore the main quest until you're done with all the side content that isn't gated behind main story progression, which isn't much. The combat is closer to souls games with a focus on a rapidly depleting and regenerating stamina bar, dashes (rolls) and parries. Each act is the hub you're in at the moment, you can progress to the next act when you're done with the main quest in your current act/hub. The game is a little bit janky and still has some bugs but overall it's still a good time if you like WRPGs where you get to make your character very powerful by finding cool shit and leveling up.
Spoonfeed me
k
Pick 1 attribute point per level
Skills that lvl up like oblivion skills
Perks with no level ,attribute, or skill requirements
Theres a dash that covers a lot of distance and has a few i-frames
Damage is location based so more damage to the head for example
no level scaling, some randomized loot, most is hand placed/static
any item could be usable if you upgrade it enough
Game is harder at start and gets easier as you progress assuming you make a decent build, power creep can be crazy for player and enemies
Almost any skill can be OP but some are only OP in niche situations (like stealth)
Quests often have different outcomes depending on how you do them
Half dark atmosphere half monty python
tying skillups to key presses is a wild decision
in water
trying to climb up small ledge
spam jump to try and get up
get like 5 levels in agility because spacebar
Sounds just like morrowind
did morrowind have it on the keypress itself? been a while since I played it. I remember jumping everywhere but not rapidly hitting the key.
btw it applies to sneak too. just spam W for free XP
Its TES, but you start the game something similar to Gothic
Once you get out of the tutorial island: You need to somehow figure out how to grind 2-3 levels, so you can start putting on the actual tier 1 gear with 2-3 requirement in 1-2 stats. Similarly its also a bit stingy on the gear upgrades, which is also nice
how is dual wield? Should I use medium or heavy armor?
The armors that give shit to dual wielding are leather-like, so... medium.
Supposedly the best way to level agility is to repeatedly jump and almost die from fall damage, gives you way more experience. I kind of hope they fix sliding being the most optimal way to move around, both in terms of speed and leveling skills, because it heavily incentivizes the player to move around in that retarded way.
Dual wield is the strongest playstyle according to many people in the thread. There are no armor types - your current armor classification is determined by the weight of what you're currently wearing, e.g if you wear three pieces that are relatively low weight and one very heavy one then they'll probably average out into 'medium' armor despite that category not existing. Light armor loadout provides the best passive benefits but obviously the least protection. Just use whatever armor provides the best passives to your current build.
For a setting that is bleak, dark and grim the undead are a silly bunch
is getting the red death skill tree worth it? does it alter the ending?
is it feasible without sneak attack and shit? I am more looking at those berserking-like talents (do more damage when low hp, etc)
Yeah, I've played a bit so I get how the armor system works. I meant more what to shoot for since you level up a skill for the weight class too (light/med/heavy)
why does King Arthur sound and act like such a little bitch?
sheeesh talk about never meet your heroes huh?
sliding being the most optimal way to move around
yeah that shits retarded. I dont do it even after losing the horse to a bug. The map really isnt big enough to both with more than sprint.
I noticed this as well. I was impressed with how pretty much every dungeon in the first area had at least one piece of gear that made it worthwhile to explore, Act2 was almost as good, but quite a few dungeons served no purpose as far as I could tell and the amount of quests that bugged out for me in Act 2 was ridiculous, like 5 quests I just cant complete because shit doesnt trigger the next step, some were fixed yesterday.
Also fuck the devs for Le heckin poor Lancelot be a heckin good boi who didn't mean it, but Gawain gets to be a cuck in his own tomb and le heckin Green knight is holding gawains chastity key, fucking gay ass shit.
I actually think the sliding is super fun despite agreeing that it is mechanically retarded
getting on a slope and rapidly spamming the key to level acrobatics was an OG morrowind strat.
Dal Raita dude in act 2 wants some weird flowers
it's literally magic weed
also you can smoke it with the "guard" and then you asks you for a massive amount of food and starts to talk bullshit, made me chuckle desu
Just doing an honest night's work.
I hope they add a couple of actual swimming fish.
The water feels so empty.
fish
Should be mugs and plates floating about because that's all I seem to fish up.
I mean, I think it is fun as well (partly because of how fucking janky it feels) but I think it does detract from the quality of the game and it levels three skills at the same time better than focusing on them independently so while you don't have to do it (singleplayer game and all, no need to metaslave) it is so incredibly superior to normal movement that there's little point in moving normally.
What is fucking with RPGs and being unable to have a good act 3?
Post your character.
In this case they're a smaller studio and the game had already been in early access for a while so they probably felt pressured (or had a deadline from their publisher) to push out a 1.0 release
Hob make me think of Verso which is why I granted him death.
I think the red plague is just her grieving, not anything done on purpose. She's the fake goddess found in the corrupted temple and once you meet her it's pretty obvious she overcame her grief. To me the red plague issue seem overblown since it's not a big deal in the game and the wyrdness can be dealt with by doing the same thing that happened to the MC to everyone.
There is another one you can pet in forlorn sword, I wonder if petting both give you no hands
Also found that place, I wasn't sure if it was a glitch or an eastern egg/some place to let people put a fire to fast travel out of that shithole. I felt it must been on purpose considering the chest. Could justify that kind of stuff/bug with "its wyrdness, I aint gotta explain shit"
Is lancelot's stuff really the best gear for 2hand melee builds?
Make game using UE5
Don't use Lumen
Performance is still dogshit anyway
Textures I'm almost convinced aren't even PBR
DirectX11 in 2025
No FG either to at least fake performance
Game only looks good indoors
I'm really liking it but god damn it's like they were ALMOST there and decided to stop at the 75% point
Isn't it Unity?
where's that cool spellsword armour i've seen other anons wearing? somewhere in act 1?
So is it jank kino or just jank?
first act is jank kino, 2nd act is decent, 3rd should have been delayed a year
Here
I think the first act alone is worth the price tag, though I'm not a poorfag.
what stats do I want for dual wield (or rather, which stats will be on some of the armor I may want to use)?
Game looks like dogshit but also runs like dogshit. Make it make sense anons.
The textures and asset quality I mean. The art style is very nice.
Crit chance, crit damage, melee damage
ta. i'll remember that for tomorrow. i know why i didn't find it already: i got to the north side of the map by following the east coast and swimming up the waterfall.
no, I mean, str/dex/pract/endur
Strength and Perception will raise the stats anon listed, retard-kun.
Is there any 1h weapon needing more than 13 str? Kind of don't know what to level anymore, don't use spells at all on this char so spirituality is still at 1.
What's the closest comparison to this game in terms of polish, scope and budget? Is it something like Greedfall?
never mind, you're unable to read and googling a sample of the armors in my game answered my question. Best of luck on your language learning journey.
Those attributes don't mean much because the bonuses they provide are relatively small compared to what you get from perks and gear. You want to distribute the points so you can equip the gear you want. A mix of str, end and dex should be your focus but IIRC there are some decent pieces that still require a few points in practicality. Get at least 6 in them all then get str and end up to like 12 and you should be safe.
Sooo, the Pale Lady being heartbroken about the death of her son, whose essence/soul/whatever went into Arthur, created the Red Death?
Yeah, I was more wondering what stats tend to be on one handed/dw armors. For two handed it was mostly stop at 6 strength 6 endurance, and I didn't really pay attention to the other stuff I had been picking up
lots of shit kicking my ass
Finally fought the stalker child knight but I couldn't get him to enjoy prison.
He fucked off when morning came, my DPS wasn't good enough.
I used the chain lightning skill (forgot the name) since he seemed immune to the other shit I tried.
i remember this game being in early access or something, on steam there's a demo and a full price. has it left early access yet?
i believe the devs kicked it out of early access because they ran out of money. this is unsubstantiated, but still...
if you stop at 6 it's usually good, so like 6 str/6 perception/6 practiciality will let you wear most everything. You don't need dex because that all tends to me sneak/bow stuff
Stuff that requires more will tend to be too heavy unless you want to go heavy
Anyone found the last of Liliana's books?
alright but the game doesn't abruptly end by the middle of the story or anything right, it's a full game? reviews seem good enough.
Warrior stuff is going to have mostly end and str yeah, but you'll also come across some good rogue-coded pieces (lots of crit) and those will likely require dex. DESU you could just rush 6 str and end to get you covered in the early game then work all stats (except the one related to magic) up to 6, then str/end to 12. That should cover you for 95% of gear you want to use. Beyond that it doesn't really matter, endurance is nice for HP and carrying capacity though, if you plan on lootwhoring (which doesn't pay a lot of money unless you pump up practicality)
Version 1.0 released May 23rd so it's roughly a week old
Quality declines in the latter half but it is a full game with multiple endings.
yeah, but the finale is apparently very under-developed (i don't know this for certain myself as i'm still fucking around in act 1- but even there, there's a certain lack of polish)
tips for a mage? I found flame torrent and a +sp wand so far
to scare people
No? I just thought my bro looked cool
the quest where you go look for the boat sends you there p sure. i haven't done it but after finding the boat the stuff is "in a cave nearby" which thats only one so i guess that quest
Don't dual wield spells. use a wand or cube in one hand and a spell in the other (aside from summons and buffs maybe). there's a skill tree that you can spec into that gives you really good passives if you have one of those equipped.
Also use summons for tanking and as mana batteries.
yeah, that's a great idea. I did magic to act 2 before restarting and I found meeting gear reqs and then doing other stats yields the best results
there's a FUCKING STRONG lightning bolt spell in the bandit keep on the west side of act 1. the red priest in the keepers' keep sells a real healing spell (expensive though). under the all-mother's temple is a sea cave with a cool 'merlin's daggers' spell.
doesn't run like dogshit for me, but then again i''m not the kind of person who needs all settings on max + ultra on a 4k screen.
There's also a spellslinger armor set in act one that has really good +spell dmg if you're still in the early game.
So is this Skyrim mixed with SCORN mixed with eurojank?
I'm in Act 2 now but my armor is from act 1.
Amulet of the Waning Moon is from a druid shrine, don't remember which one. spell damage and spell crit chance.
Wraps of The Waning Moon you get from another of the druid shrines, I think the one on the beach SE of the fort. +25% spell damage.
Spell Slinger set you get from here: Battlemage set from the Tomb of the Good Druid which some distance from the cemetery directly north, crossing the water.
skyrim mixed with skyrim
Hmmmm okay, I'll hold off then until they rework the latter half. Thanks.
i thought that too but no that cave isnt for that quest
Crystal spiders/lizards, act 3 would be goblins
How're the spells you get here
That other game is also very good. Very replayable as well.
when I played it those assassin type guys were super OP and Boudica soloed the game for me
WAS 'AT SUPPOSE TE HU-UUUUUGGGHHH
We really had a good run with Arthurian legends type of games over the last few years.
Boudica is insane but for me it was Guinevere who could just spam her basic attack and do insane damage to anything chilled or frozen.
The waning moon set has an order you get them in no matter what shrine you do.
Thanks guys. Sounds cool, i'll give it a whirl.
wand of extra poison buildup
poison glob spell
summoned bee knight
ring of +100% damage to poisoned enemies
gathering cobwebs for bee wife
LIVE FOR THE SWARM
SACRIFICE ME
see what happens if I tell Cuckaduck I met Arthur since I'm redoing act 1 with a new build since I ran out of respec pots
he attacks me
kill him
oh boy you get his cool ass armor!
weights 10 pounds
is grey
has no abilities
well at least I found a ton of stuff in the jail I missed, like Mr. Punching Man and the hot goth lady
Great game but the endgame content filtered me, was sad when I benched my OG Sir Kay since he was underperfoming later on
how many respec pots are ingame?
don't know about total, but there was 4 in act 1 and I used them all because I missed the tutorial one. It's fine though because mage was pretty boring and I find the melee fun
Anyone in Act 3 know where Sigvord's ghost for the White Stone sidequest is? Found what he was looking for but no marker shows up to turn the quest back in.
does anyone know if sequence breaking into Lancelot's Tomb moves the story forward or not? I've done act 1 before but I still don't want to skip ahead
Stuff like the knight tombs and memory shard areas that only open with Arthur's soul fragments are optional, so it shouldn't affect story progression. You only need to visit some/all of them if you want the true ending.
5% dark souls, 55% elder scrolls, 50% gothic, and 110% reason to remember the name
Damn you guys weren't lying about act 3 being barren. I got the helmet then immediately beelined towards ending quest because it got so boring
I think the main issue was that I peaked in terms of powerlevel at around level 50 so I lost all motivation to do side quests. Classic bethesda fuckup
Anyone know some good capes for melees in act2? I dont want to run around like a peasont with that hay anymore.
It did give me dark souls vibes a lot though. Especially the abundance of non euclidean elevators
took you a lot longer to get there vs Bethesda though I bet
not having enough strength to one-tap ore veins
is there anglo-saxon armor thoughbeit?
its the armor to damage perk that makes you onetap ore veins
GOTTA GO TO WORK WORK WORK WORK GOTTA WORK
BUSY BUSY THERE'S SO MUCH TO DO HERE
In the beta/early access that cave was different, you went in there to rescue a kidnapped woman. A few quests were removed and others changed in 1.0 and honestly I don't think it was for the better
magebros is that fireball you find the best spell for a while?
I've found like 20 different spells and not a single one even comes close to it
This game is awesome
the fuckhuge mana cost and slow cast time bumps it down a few rungs for me
spammed thunder lash the entirety of act 1, it feels good to use and does solid damage
i'm fucking around with some of the weirder spells now in act 2, speccing into poison is fun
laughs in Severing Ray
Tanky Big Sword guy. 450 HP. Over 150 Stamina. Almost 100 Armor. Literally am immortal now. Not even bosses can move my HP Bar.
have you found any 2hander thats comparble in dmg to lancelots or parcivals ones?
also any good dagger + 1hand? seems to me that late act2/act3 there are barely any items anymore
and most melee armour seems to be about low life effects or crit
Is it worth it trying to build for these ridiculous skill checks? Or do they just give you some flavor dialogue?
Anglo Saxons have nothing to do with Britons living in a fictional Avalon. You might as well ask if there is Chinese armor.
The lightning spell sounds and looks like cum rather than lightning.
What the fuck were they thinking with these skill checks?
In the first major world area where you're gonna be level two or three at best, you're getting skill checks you need to be at least level ten to pass.
You get armor and weapons you can't use until ten levels from when you get them.
You have no way to improve these numbers outside a single point when you level up.
At least Fallout gives you the fucking SPECIAL bobbleheads.
See the third weapon I have equipped. It's a Poison Greatsword that fits my build relatively well, see;
Though I optimized my build a bit since then and got a few extra levels.
It's got higher base damage and the poison is on every swing which makes it better than Percivals, but I don't like what it looks like so I don't use it. I put 1 Poison Gem and 1 Bleed gem in it to trigger my Status stuff.
As for one-handers, I generally avoid them because I got super salty about how shit shields are and it seems like One-handers are balanced mostly around being dual wield which I don't care for. So I don't really know.
For Armor though, I haven't found anything better than what I am currently wearing. Too much weird low life shit.
What does the Wyrdlantern do?
There's consumables that give permanent Stat and Skill points.
Lightning refers to how quickly you blow your load upon them.
i went and did it recently on a mage build
it does *nothing*
it gives you like 1-2 lines of flavor text that affect zero, zilch, nada
i choose to believe this was some holdover from an earlier build they forgot to cut instead of the devs being completely pantsu on head retarded
It's not a Elder Scrolls like. It has zero of the freedom or player agency TES games have. It's basically a 1st person Souls-like.
The pic related skill check is within viewing distance of where you spawn after the tutorial. Even if I save scummed and respec'd all my points to spirituality I wouldn't have enough to do that check at that point in the game.
Do daggers have some hidden stealth damage bonus? I seem to do more damage backstabbing with them even without the corresponding perks.
so, this is like elder scrolls?
Honestly the open world design is kinda like Avowed. Combat is Oblivion/Skyrim+ though.
No
It's better combat and quest design than post-Morrowind TES.
turn everyone in cheese
doesn't sell for a lot, 1g even with a few points into the selling tree
just toss 3 cheeses into the crafting window
get this
well guess I can make some money and have unlimited food now
my best guess, charitably speaking, is that the devs expected anyone who stumbled on the blood cave straight outta tutorial-land to get btfo by mallory so hard they would assume to come back later
problem is mallory's kind of a bitch and can be beaten by at least a lvl 3 mage
so if they expected him to be a meat wall then i dunno. that's the best guess i have
forgot pic
What game is this?
What GENRE is this?
Looks great.
An anon in a previous thread said you can cheese your summons. enjoy infinite money
That's fair for the blood cave, but EVERY skill check in act 1 is too high.
Fire go brrr
it doesnt help they put a large obstruction in the middle of the arena that can be used to cheese the fight at any level.
man I think I will use that spell. The fucking fireball flings people into the next zip code and then I can't find the bodies
fear gas
farts when he's scared
unfortunate ass name
what staff is that?
for what it is worth, I saw an anon say he was watching Brotherman play and Brotherman said the skill checks were too high
And of course a dev was watching him and said they're lowering checks next patch
didnt vavra make a facebook post or something saying he does that
I didn't think it'd work on spells but here we are.
If that applies to melee I need to get that for my debuff build.
go to smuggler's cove
find a skeleton
has a dagger and has a piece of paper on body that reads: DON'T BELIEVE HIS LIES
It does.
Did you fug the bee?
nice
How do respawns work? Is it daily? Why do some things respawn and others don't? Are caves exempt? Do ore nodes respawn? I want to make a whole knight's set but I've burnt everything I've had access to so far overloading iron into crafting
Light
so is Heavy a meme?
Where the fuck do Marrowghast spawn? I've only ever seen them in the Blood Cave and caves don't respawn
You can reduce the weight of your gear at the craft table. No reason not to do it.
Lmao just use the blood transfusion spell you get in the tutorial
Oh I see. Well I'm broke so I guess there's that reason.
tons of 'em in act 2
I hope there'll be some updates to the other acts eventually.
Currently on act 2 and my only disappointment has been the emptiness of the northern map, like i feel there should be field bosses or something out there. I liked Sagremore even if it only had 3 bosses
figured out what the respec console command was
NOW WE GAYMING
We pulp fantasy now
Can get King Arthur's armor
Can't get his sword and shield
I'm a little salty.
Duplication glitch isn't the same thing? It is the same thing but for retards.
His armor is ugly IMHO. He looks cool in the cinematics but in game he looks weird.
Can cheat death once by turning invisible at 1hp
Can cheat death twice by auto-activating the King's power on a fatal blow
Can cheat death thrice via Red Death skills
Can cheat death four+ times via Mother's amulets, until they run out anyway
Are there any other "extra lives" I should know about? I want to see if I can hit nine.
