Same here in Dominican Republic, but something funny is going on down here regarding the version of the Switch 2 we are getting, most of the local stores are getting the Chinese version, ONE store has the American version already in here and they are boasting they are the first to get the console in the country on time and American, so they are selling even MORE expensive than the other stores. The other stores might not even get it on day 1 either. All the other stores are fuming at the one that got them early claiming "T-there's reports of stolen Switch 2 in Miami, please dont buy from that store Nintendo might ban your console!"

I'm also not going to particularly care about 60fps on any game that is slow-paced, be ADV (or visual novels if you wish), puzzle, turn-based RPGs and strategy, etc.
If anything, I'm particularly curious about the 120Hz screen even if it'll be on just a selected bunch of games. I've never got the insensitive to go beyond 60hz before. And I assume a lot of people are gonna experience this for the first time ever too.

Why wouldn't it work? The entire point of the Switch 2 Edition system is that games you upgrade will continue to work on Switch 1 without issue. Of course for games like Kirby or Mario Party that have a DLC attached to them you won't be able to access that DLC, but the base games will still work, including saves.

A texture of a Pro Controller diagram was found in the files back in 2019. Given how long ago that was, it seems far more likely it was just planned for support for the controller on PC. I don't think Switch 2 kits existed back then nor was Rockstar working on the game for Switch 1.

The following are fundamental issues with the GTA demasters that aren't and won't ever be fixed:

ass ugly plastic character models mixed with "Nintendo hire this man" outsourced photorealistic graphics for the environment

wrong colors and lighting (the "fixed" lighting added in updates does not properly emulate the original)

large quantities of licensed music removed (21 songs from SA and 15 songs from VC)

VC uses the censored dialogue about Haitians previously used in reprints and also newly removes all Confederate flags

I do not recommend GTA:DE to people who have eyes, or ears, or dislike censorship, or like things that are good. But you still play new Pokemon games, so maybe you don't mind.

Judging by some videos yeah, the models still look like ass, the fixed lighting is more reflective of the original vision but still isn't perfect. That censorship is lame too.

Music removed is expected, as shitty as it is. Music licensing is a fucking nightmare and yeah, Rockstar has infinite money but there is probably a point where some music companies might ask for more than the trilogy would even make back, I bet.

It feels like it really isn't all the way fixed, and while I could probably still enjoy them it still feels off, only a half measure of a mix. A shame but yeah, I probably will skip it I think. If they do one more passover and fix the models and some of the still lazily upressed textures then maaaaybe. I don't imagine they will though.

I've got plenty to play on launch anyway with Wind Waker, Bravely Default and Mario Kart so oh well. If I ever wanna go back to San Andreas again I guess I'll just have to go back to the PS2-on-PS4 version or PC versions I already have.

But you still play new Pokemon games, so maybe you don't mind.
