Idira is a good character, my complaint about her is her final quest resolution. There should have been more options, it's either soul rape device or just her eventually imploding. In fact a lot of characters have problems in act 4 quest resolutions, but it's weird that some options for her are voiced like Yrliet saying Eldar can help, and we have 2 farseers that we've done huge favors for, it wouldn't be unrealistic to go to Janus and ask the two guys to help. It would have brought more utility to siding with Crudarach dudes.

If Owlcat does Season 3, I hope they don't add companions and just have the DLCs expand several existing narratives, have one give content for other 2 Rogue Traders and another give a proper resolution to Crudarach Aeldari plot.

It's still much more common for a Rogue Traders to incorporate xenos into their retinue. Just comes with the territory of explorer. Sure some Inquisitors incorporate a ton of xenos, but there are those in the Inquisition who would hunt them for doing so too. Whereas other Rogue Traders would not care at all who's company another Rogue Trader takes.

Anon Babble has a lot of playerbases even for niche titles while at this same time often lacking interest in popular ones, beyond their shilling during release. L4D2 alone has more players than Space Marine 2 and Darktide combined and yet cannot afford general on Anon Babble, while those two have separate ones. Then again Warhammer everything is in general abnormally popular on Anon Babble, they are basically Anon Babble's choice of a settings. Fucking Star Wars is completely dead on this site, which is not a thing outside this place. Owlcat in general had a lot of players on this site too.

In Rogue Trader you might run into one or two others, but they are usually not ideologically opposed as much as they want a cut of your loot.

Inquisitors wear their politics and philosophies on their sleeve, and their human followers are often even more deeply committed to their masters than a Rogue Trader's followers.

Conflict within the Tyrantine Conclave and its factions should be as important as the main quest.

If I like the way the VA sounds I'll slow down deliberately to enjoy their speech
If they're shit/boring then I'll try to read ahead of them
Only problem is that sometimes the voice actors put in inflections that change the meaning of the line, so you can miss out if you push past them

Her stilted dialogue is deliberate part of her character, you can tell how much she struggles with talking with anyone and being "normal" when she could just be killing people just by listening to her VA
Which I'd argue should be reflected in the actual prose as well but given that the strength of the VA's performance I think it's fine to hear it occasionally and extrapolate to the unvoiced stuff
Pasqal is a good example of them balancing both, you get his particular Microsoft Sam voice but the game spends plenty of time writing about his particular shrills and hushes

If they're putting full VA in then it's a 3-act game tops. Combined with the casualized combat and recycled RT assets I can see this being more streamlined title, they're going for a wider audience here.

DH wont have "heretic" (Or Iconoclast or Dogmatic exactly). It will have Puritan and Radical, which is in line with the existing Inquistorial factions in the setting. Puritan and Dogmatic are pretty much the same, but Radical isn't a pure analog to either Iconoclast or Heretic, and tend to be more of an "End Justifies the means" type of thing. In either case, for even the most Radical Inquisitors (Xanthians, Plutonians, Oblationists) having a actual Chaos Marine is likely too far. You'll get Night Lord antagonists sure, but not a companion. Chaos Radical stuff will probably stuff like a Daemonhost, Chaos Weapons, and other "sanctioned" and "controlled" chaos corruption.

Also, I think the point that VO makes it much easier to stream (And thus get promotional benefits) is a valid one. If they want to up their production values it's a logical next step.

It's a game about being an inquisitor. If you purposely choose heretical options all game they'd either have to program an entirely different route where you get fired and do some other job, or have it with almost zero reactivity and push you along in the plot anyway. (like the evil routes in other owlcat games)

It's sufficiently big, it's really like 5% of the experience but gets a huge amount of people talking, gooning and making fanart increasing the exposure of the game.
If devs wanted to actually try with romances they'd try to do something beyond fucking once being the lock-in stage. Relationships have their ups and downs and especially scenes with making choices that fundamentally disagree with the romance option should be suitably dramatic. They're also very player-led which is missing about half the experience that's possible.
