single player in nightreign have problem of not having enough time. I can dodgeparry bosses easily after learnign them, especially since majority of them are copypastas. Just they have sich inflated hp that it takes ages to kill them and then zone shrinks. I was doing lvl 1 runs or punch ony runs for fun in souls games, it doesn't matter if they make me dodge or parry boss 40-80 or 200 times, i still can do it, inflating hp doesn't add difficulty outside getting really tired and making mistake because of it

After some grinds i managed to boost my solo char to the elvels where i can straight up go to mountain biome, pick frost res legendary and then clear both dragons and ice trolls. If I get purple or better weapon beneficial to my stats i go for main boss. if not, it's really faster to restart than fighting hp inflated boss with 2h slow str weapon on a class with hard caster scaling, or a dex fag for example since dagger with her abilities really feels like solo class. Didn't try revenant so no opinion on her

Because of that inflation and lack of time, I doubt i can explore majority of shit anyway. Managed to clear mountain biome and rot. I'm avoiding lava one due to how underground passages disallows for quick disengage when zone shrinks

I don't think design should be "fight boss and if drop is shit restart the game" because you wasted so much time fighting same sponge you fought in original ER, so then you cna fight an even easier smelter demon. Normally in souls games if you party up boss hp gets doubled etc. so decrease it for single player. Again, not because of difficulty, but because It's not worth most of the time engaging them despite themd ropping purple/legendary loot. You can clear camps faster and have better rng at it. If you get bad luck while fighting boss? it's better to straight up restart than continue

Nightreign is fantastic, one of the better most experimental Fromsoftware releases.
Not only it solved the longtime issue of bosses managing groups which will massively improve mainline games, and created a lot of fun mechanics, but unapologetically embraced the action RPG over the top nature f Elden Ring less than 1 year after SotE and filtered everyone again.

Legendary weapons don't matter as much honestly. Try to get to level 12-13 and you will feel a much better difference. Day 1 is for churches, small camps, and looting. Day 2 hit up the castle and boss rush for big rune gains.

Played this game on and off during the weekend and im already at 4 bosses down. Based on what ive seen and the ingame mechanics, minmax fags and midwits will get absolutely destroyed on 99% of runs and will push through only when the stars align and they get literal perfect assortment of gear and perks. The asshurt is worse than it was when sekiro launched and half the board was stuck at the second miniboss. This is main reason for low user score, you can’t summon or cheese or minmax and that is a problem for zoomers it seems.
That being said, game has flaws. I see no reason in playing anything other than the archer and wylder (and maybe the sekiro samurai guy). Everyone else has to jump through 100 hoops to do half the shit those 3 do. Raider is absolutely useless. Rng can fuck you up hard, i mean you can get full grown fallingstar beast or gaping dragon. Worlds apart in terms of difficulty. Preparing for final boss weakness and building towards that is very rewarding, if you’re stuck do that. Idk what else to say, game is ok for its price but definitely not shitter-friendly

it all depends on the "ring" that incircles the map but yes all the bosses are the same and in the same places hence why you see people say they experienced everything in like 20 hours.

Because Nightreign isn't balanced for single player, like at all. They literally did not even try. You basically have to be an autistic speedrunner to beat it solo and even then it's more frustrating than fun at times. L4D2 is not really comparable since bots had aimbot.

What went wrong was that this wasn't shot down on the spot. The recycled assets, poor technical launch, lack of features, inability to communicate with other players, etc. are just the cherry on top. This game is proof that Fromslop fans are basically the new Bugthesda fans or even Blizzdrones, buying any garbage they put out, running apologia for all of its flaws, and pointing to big sales numbers as their only line of defense. You can see tons of them in this thread alone. Embarrassing to see the state of this company and "community", but after ER's success it was unfortunately inevitable. It was From's Skyrim, for better or for worse, and we're at the "for worse" part right now.

My biggest gripe is how insanely hectic it all is. I would've preferred a RoR timer, still adds pressure, but without the whole shrinking map bs. And playing solo just feels off, especially with the squishier characters. I know it was marketed as a three player game, but I still hoped for a more enjoyable solo experience. The upcoming changes in the next patch will definitely help, but I they’ll need to do more. That said I'm still having fun despite being one of the more slow and casual souls fan

DaS had collision issues if you went above 30fps, DaS2 had durability go down for every frame your weapon was in an object, including ally phantoms, making 120fps break your weapon hilariously fast, and I forget what DaS3 did.

Explain, in detail and without buzzwords, why casual games are bad.
