I was playing my obscure independent video game murder mysteries again and I think I'm stuck.
But this game is so unpopular that there's no guides or walkthroughs. And I'm pretty sure I know exactly who the killer is and how but I just can't prove it! It would be one thing if I was too stupid to comprehend the mystery altogether.
My theory is that the murderer is a shapeshifter sort of like the thing and I got fucked over, because the game has a time component and I could investigate a suspect, find definitive proof it was not him, and move onto another suspect. I did not consider the fact that "The Thing" could appear after I cleared the suspect, and assimilate them. But it leads to another problem. I'm pretty sure I know who the original shapeshifter was. But only by process of elimination and that's not good enough! I need positive confirmation of my theory! or maybe I'm completely wrong and I've got a bad theory and the wrong suspect.
It's tough. I would throw in the towel if I could but it's not an option. So I guess I just have to figure it out. I've probably solved harder video game puzzles.

There's the chance you are able to solve the puzzle where I failed, but I guess I can live with it. Anyway, I play a lot of games where the no-walkthrough thing happens, but I was sort of surprised to see it was the case with this one. The production values seemed higher than the typical obscure games I play.
I even tried to check twitch streams because I thought that even if there was no walkthrough maybe I could get a hint from a livestreamer, but no one is streaming it, either.
