I'd say honestly the Steam Deck OLED and the Switch 2 together are more than anything else an unstoppable duo. Both make your library portable, both make it so you can play modern AAA games, with a pick-or-choose performance ratio between the two by preference. You're downloading mostly digital games anyway by the nature of the Switch 2 game key card shit now. If you want AAA games that the Deck isn't quite capable of handling inherently, we have to see how the Switch 2 stacks up but in theory it should be on par or greater in its own right. Steam Deck is excellent for older games, Switch 2 can handle the ports of the modern shit.

My deck broke after 14 months and refuses to run off battery at all. Apparently one of the capacitors near the battery came off.
Meanwhile OG Switch is running fine.

It's not getting ports of games like mh wilds or any ue5 ports for a reason and cp2077 needed to be optimized specifically for the switch 2 and still runs better on the deck in handheld mode and still has to be upscaled from 540p while docked at only 40fps. It is not going to be for modern games. It's the same cycle of nintendo releasing last gen hardware that barely gets years old ports only for tons of modern and especially future games to skip the system.
If anyone is that concerned about deck's specs and doesn't want to utlize streaming, the deck 2 is two years away at most.
