Most games work but if you want to mod or do other advanced things like injecting hdr it's a lot more iffy.
And if something doesn't work or breaks you lose time you would have spent gaming if you were on Windows.

Yeah I don't think that's true. Every game I tried to run so far has worked and I am using wayland with Nvidia which is a setup that's not even baked yet. The worst issue I've had was cyberpunk 2077 crashing once and taking wayland with it which was mildly annoying because it also crashed my browser, but I started running it in gamescope instead so hopefully it won't rekt my web browser if it ever crashes again.

i used linux years ago, i think it was called gnome or something, but it was a lot of work since i needed to make a dual boot to still play my games on windows at the time, i gave up after a while even though it was fun to use at first felt like a hacker as a kid lol
