Demonic Beasts were a great addition to the series abd I think they should be such enemies in the future.
Should be called a Titan class:

Titans are like demonic beasts who have several areas that you have to attack.

Have several HP bars, gaining a new skill after you deplete one bar.

Titans have one turn but has long range units above them (Archers, Mages, Ballistaes) with their own turns so in a single enemy phase a Titan unit has several turns.

If you kill the titan first, after it dies, the units above them will be spread near the Titan's corpse and they become normal units (Suffer fall damage to compensate).

If you kill the units first, the Titan goes berserk and they have 2 turns instead with increased stats.

You get a shitloads of money and a lot of growth/stat boosters there. That's why the guy trying to make a unit useless in the ultimate 'every scrimblo is viable" hack is even funnier.

Very few people hate Cynthia, she's just kind of in the middle in regards to popularity among the kids (if any kid is "hated by everyone", it's probably Yarne). If I had to guess why she's not more popular, I'd wager that it's in large part because her schtick is very similar to Owain's, who just ended up being the more popular of the two.

It's a little insulting because it's not like FE hasn't done that exact plot hook better in the past. It's almost identical to how Fir joins your army, but they do a much better job of selling it there. I think maybe if the scenario writer just made it so Cynthia stumbled upon the battle and picked the wrong side (mistakenly believing our Chrom to be the imposter ruining the real Chrom's reputation), I think it would have gone over a bit better and been more in line with her character. Just the implication that she's been traveling along with these bandits for some period of time raises a ton of questions that the paralogue isn't really interested in answering.
She's still my FE-fu and favorite preschool drop out, regardless.

3 years ago I did. Was honestly pretty unfun lategame when almost everyone was a sorcerer or a backpack. I got really lucky in not having to reset too much early game because of bad skill draws on the enemies. I replayed Awakening for the first time in ten years back in 2023 when I was getting back into Fire Emblem. It's really fun but I can see why people would hate it. If the game had better map design it'd be really strong, you definitely have to enjoy the act of building monster units. It does have my favorite sound design and music in the series, shit is so nostalgic.

There's something about the level of pettiness that's extremely amusing.

From my limited understanding, it seems that the localizations added a bit of filler in OPs image and picrel. The JP script seems to just have Cynthia apologize, no booty to be mentioned.
