what a funny little creature
Morrowind thread
Oh lord
which reminds me, why the fuck can you play as a chimer in TR? shouldn't they all be dunmer now?
Blame Kirkbride
Do the NPC voicelines recognize player Malahk Orcs as Orcs like they recognize all the Khajiit subraces as Khajiits?
He looks he either heard someone say something very stupid or he's very stoned
New to the game. Is there a house I can buy or a chest where I can store my stuff? I've been throwing everything on the floor but I'd prefer to have a chest.
Yupee nub nub!
WHERE'S THE WALRUS PIT
some chimer moved to the padomeic islands and became chimeri-quey
any house can be your house
Even Gods dislike the absolute, for it stinks of something larger than themselves
Shoutout to the guy who recommended I do the Bal Foyen Fighter's Guild, it's really making me hate the Hlaalu even more than I already did and I didn't know that was possible.
sloppifies your ui
is it bad if I unironically like this?
personally I hate it but you do you
Yeah and I want to choke you out for having such actual poor taste
oh I see what ur sayin' mr tax collector
anyone use those dynamic sounds and music mods?
I'm using the sounds one but I might remove it since they play way too often even if I turn them down in the script settings
Can I rail the Dreugh?
Laloo!
game has an irish race
Can someone give me a quick rundown on what project tamriel even is?
a bunch of modding projects that aim to add other provinces to morrowind, it is closely intertwined with tamriel rebuilt, which does th same thing but with mainland morrowind.
openmw mods I recommend to everyone in the thread (you can ignore me if you want)
My favorite part of that questline is I can confront the ancient evil in the mines and tell him that I'm just gonna beat the living shit out of him and turn his soul into a thong and it works.
All you need is a kick mod and you'd have "Dark Nerevarine of Might and Magicka" lol
The only kick mod I could find is MWSE and also janky as shit, which is a shame when The Mighty Foot is so good in Daggerfall. It serves a utility purpose there though
Are you OK with your mage wearing Heavy Armor?
The College in Old Ebonheart is pretty cool
Why wouldn't I be?
It's the only logical choice, all others are made for purely aesthetic reasons
Namira's Shroud with Veloth's pauldrons for that Breton Witchking feel
But that's Firewatch
So it is
comfy game
LUA physics engine
excuse the fuck me?
OpenMW is running so unstably for me right now that I might as well reset my current run for MWSE.
What are the best MWSE mods for making poisons and sailing your own boat? (manually, not preset destinations)
Any good disposition overhauls that add more interactivity than bribe 10?
Don't mind me, just waiting casually for it to be posted.
Stormrider

I may be wrong but I think Immersive Travel adds small boats you can buy from ship pilots, if I am someone correct me and help me remember where pic related is from

Poison crafting

Idk about speech overhauls
Oh and also this is pretty fun
Did the Stormrider reupload add anything new or is it just a reupload?
It adds a few new things but reading over it nothing worth updating over. You have to empty out all the ship containers and I am not fucking doing that lmao
Post it.
Nice, Stormrider was precisely what I was looking for.
I just remembered a weird thing that happened to me in my first playthrough of Morrowind. I was in the end game when I went to the bar inside of Ghost Gate and I spoke with an Imperial who gave me a lucky coin. I talk to the bartender and he's like, "bro you're a schizo, there are no imperials here". Who was that supposed to be again? Tiber? That shit kinda felt like a scene out of The Shining.
Kind of. Talos, not Tiber. He's way more humble than you'd expect the guy to be.
See this creature in the Anvil bazaar
Give it a whack with my staff
Immediately every guard in the market runs over and starts stabbing it to death
Pretty funny
I don't feel represented in this thread.
It's Talos
So are those nightvison goggles that the morrowind dark brother wear? I know it isn't in game but thats what I always thought they were. They should have been enchanted with nighteye or something
want to play skyrim again but my old save file is in the middle of nowhere. forgot what i was doing, have a bunch of active quests, had mods that i uninstalled quite some time ago so i forgot what i had, i'm level 30. i dunno if i should just start again or keep the save file.
All I need to know is what is the SexLab equivalent?
This sounds like the opposite of restartitis, give it a new go clean installs always feel so nice.
That would make a lot of sense, night eye or detect life. Morag Tong have a similar set up but it's more like a spider eye
Does morrowind have any creepypastas? It seems perfect for a bunch of autistic spooky fan theories but for some reason I've never heard of one.
Watch the skies, traveler.
this is the big one, don't know how you've never heard of it
creepypasta.fandom.com
I wonder if Caius realizes I've been gone for 3 months.
This might sound weird, but can you turn of "mercy" for the mercy mod? I just want smarter AI combatants, not to feel fucking sorry. If not, perhaps there's another mod that would suit my taste better?
For dark brotherhood I'd assume so, but for various Dunmer armors such as the Chitin Helmet or Morang Tong helmet I always chalked it up more to ash storm goggles, those things happen all the time and seem like they'd suck bigly to be out in without goggles.
That might be the stupidest fucking thing I've ever read
HBFS looks pretty cool what settings do you use for it?
Daggerfall feels like the proper Elder Scrolls to have lots of creepypastas. Its got that uncanny atmosphere with the cutout characters and strange procedural generated towns, dungeons quests, etc. It's just asking for it.
damn u a bada*s
Not a fucking chance
Hey, he told he needed some time to think.
It's only been 90 days or so.
Are you high?
Is this the sex goblin thread?
Man I WISH
fuck it, i'll just back up the save file in case I want to go back. never heard of the term restartitis before
Implants and surgeries to turn into a goblin
Kino
I don't want to do TR before I 100% all of Morrowind but then I remember most people who claim to be hardcore don't even go around doing every quest and listening to every voice line anymore. So I guess I'll just do it and fuck the great houses.
you should do at least one Great House from the base game, they're great and have a lot of cool political intrigue behind them and their various motivations and the specific ways in which almost everything they say is a lie, except for Telvanni because they don't give enough of a shit about you to even bother lying to you
Does TR do anything to medium armor so it doesn't feel shit to focus on them?
no it's still dogshit and the only good TR set (Native Ebony) is impossible to get
if these niggas werent affected by azura's curse because they dindu nuffin then the ashlanders shouldn't have been affected either. this is directly contradicts all of the lore on the subject of the origins of the dunmer. if this shit is is TR then i am never going to play TR.
... Wait is this real? I barely played through Morrowind, what is this?
fuck...
me in every playthrough I do.
it's a gremlin, they were introduced in Redguard
He's a businessman
Kirkbride wrote them
en.uesp.net
The dunmer look the way they do because they're adapted to living in the shadow of a giant magical volcano, "Azura's Curse" is just a silly superstition with no basis in fact.
t. Travis Ulchovik
they're adapted to living in the shadow of a giant magical volcano
wait, is that why redguards are black? because yokuda had volcanoes? is melanin in fanon TES just a response to volcanism?
What are your thoughts on soul trapping conjured creatures?
On one hand, it makes perfect sense--there's no reason you shouldn't be able to, and NPCs reference the technique so it's canon.
On the other, it makes no sense--the rarity of soul gems would only be the gem itself since the soul is trivial to get, yet the soul within a gem massively increases the price, and the proliferation of essentially infinite free souls should make powerful enchantments way more prevalent.
I've always treated it as an exploit and avoided doing it in game (Morrowind and others), but the dissonance between it being lore-friendly yet not accounted for whatsoever is really strange.
that explains why it's retarded then
since the soul is trivial to get
It's only trivial to get for you. Grand soul gems are canonically very rare, and summoning is also canonically something that takes a lot of work to pull off.
You also have to kill the creature after soul trapping it, which is tough.
youtu.be
this is the blackest magic i've ever seen. morrowind modders really are insane
Grand soul gems aren't priced as if they're rare though--a full petty soul gem is worth more than a grand soul gem, and a full set of bonemold (which isn't cheap but is very common) is worth the same as five grand soul gems.
And while summoning and killing a Golden Saint is no trivial task for an individual, there's no reason the process can't be organized.
A group such as the Mage's Guild or a Telvanni tower or witches' coven could easily do the same. They only need one powerful conjurer to rip the Daedra from Oblivion. Then they can just have it summoned in a cage and use all the other mages to soultrap and kill it.
reminds me to gwimbly
TR definitely needs more medium sets at the higher end; there's a ton of great new bonemold sets but it's all middling statwise. The best is I think golden saint armor but it's incomplete and looks a little wack.
It's not real, it's Tamriel Rebuilt sloppa.
It's this mod people use that adds a bunch of shitty, low effort content to fill out the mainland of Morrowind.
It's worth playing if you're a big fan of Morrowind and can't really let it go, but I personally think it's kind of shitty and overrated. Especially for something that's been in development for over 20 years. It's finally in a (Somewhat) playable state, so people are talking about it.
I personally think it's hot dogshit and a waste of two decades of time, but I'm outvoted. Maybe you'll like it.
Did the volcano in Yokuda have the heart of Lorkhan inside of it?
Lighten up you damn grinch
t.retard
Ultimately, I'm bitter because I remember hearing about Tamriel Rebuilt when I was 10, and being extremely excited about it. I checked on it every year or two until my early 20s.
Now I'm 30, tried it, and it's gay.
Can you have empathy for why I would be kind of pissed off about it?
I get you're a zoomer and just dropped out of your mom's cunt like 16 years ago. For you, it's just free content that appeared out of nowhere one day.
For me, it's this massive pile of shit that's been hyped up for decades, only to be gallery of stupid, disjointed bullshit.
I'm 35 and think you're a giant crybaby pussy. Get the fuck over yourself, nobody asked for your fucking sob story you tremendous babyback bitch
Can you have empathy for why I would be kind of pissed off about it?
Kinda, but then you turn the slight disappointed into chan niggerspeak and ragebait for (you)s and i remember why people like you should be lynched, even when having a point to an extent you fumble it by being terminally online
Hey, he can play it still if he wants.
Not like I'm stopping him. I saw the thread, think the game's shit, and said so. You're the pussy for spazzing out about it. I can say whatever the fuck I want, and you can't stop me. Shit yourself over it, fag.
Morag Tong have a similar set up but it's more like a spider eye
Considering the stupid daedric aspects of the dungmer and morag tong, I'm more surprised it's not a full on spider-eye set-up for both eyes
I want to kill this thing
n-no u!
Lmao, nice comeback retard. Gonna cry more? Maybe shit your pants a little?
I just saw a bitch boy pussy and said so.
Cute new Daedra wife
Ahnassi!
you can set the health threshold where mercy begging begins to 1% of their max HP so that it becomes functionally impossible for it to trigger
what in oblivion is that?!
but why her
how many hours of gameplay does it take in vanilla to get to level 5? I don't know if the leveling mod I added is actually balanced or not.
Cute!
It totally depends. A couple of minutes to a few hours is all reasonable.
Balance does not exist in Morrowind. Don't believe me? Compare a quill and some ebony ore on a scale.
Balance does not exist in Morrowind
yeah I know that but that's why I'm trying to remedy it a little bit with mods and make the game like 20% more enjoyable
most modpacks use NCGDMW but it's such an immensely painful slog to level up and raise skills in that, and since you can't allocate attribute points yourself in it ever you just can't fucking ever level up your hit chance through agility and your absolutely only option for raising agility if you don't have marksman or block as a major skill is to equip a full set of light armor and let a mudcrab beat on you for hours
honestly I just want to remove the fucking "do mindless bullshit for 20 minutes to an hour to raise your skill to an acceptable level" mechanic and make it more of a "play the game and have fun and you'll just kinda naturally level up eventually and then you can make up for your deficits that way" system
I fucking hate video games
also powerleveling endurance by putting on heavy/medium armor and watching a mudcrab slap you for an hour sucks ass too
Kill jestah
play the game and have fun and you'll just kinda naturally level up eventually and then you can make up for your deficits that way
isn't that exactly the point of NCGDMW?
Have you considered using the console?
It doesn't seem like you can possibly be pleased by actually leveling up.
And it is 'Dunmer'. Not 'Dark Elves'
Dunmer -- literally 'the dark, or Cursed People' or 'Dark Elves'
Is he retarded?
I had to completely turn off a few character sounds that irritated me
ermm it's not a sword it's called a KATANA akshually
dude I just want dark souls leveling up
falconhoof would right in the whimsical lands of vvardenfell
nexusmods.com
If this doesn't please you then just give up on Morrowind, or better yet video games.
Bro there are Dunmer who are still alive in Morrowind since when the change occured
(Divayth Fyr at the very least, not counting the Tribunal)
And Fyr's pretty fucking smoky looking, if your theory held any water he'd be a golden boy and so would his sex clones
Someone ported the Oblivion Remastered system to Morrowind
nexusmods.com
why are you Anti-OpenMW faggots so incredibly insufferable and self-superior all the goddamn time?
what is the average lifespan of a regular ass Dark Elf?
no openmw support
its over
What the FUCK are you talking about
this is actually the best leveling mod on the market for openmw right now I think
I've been awake for 48 hours and the vague hostility of "quit video games forever" makes me associate the post with anti-openmw supremacists
Hate this fucker's voice.
Try doing a mercantile build for once
within an hour I'm buying vendors shit for less than I can immediately sell it back to them. I have an infinite gold loop, tens of thousands of gold, and can train whatever else I want to any level without fighting a single enemy
Is this why the imperials won?
Alternative for OpenMW, completely configurable. I used this to recreate the Oblivion remastered system as well.
nexusmods.com
holy shit thank you so much bro
that's the one I'm using and it seems pretty cool but I'm not sure it's actually that much different or better than vanilla
Given there's mainland tribes you can use to get up to the 4x Nerevarine required by the main quest in TR, does the same apply to Great Houses? I'm given to understand Dres isn't really implemented yet but can you get the Indoril to name you Hortator?
~175 years based off of the dialogue. I think it's fair to say 200 is the equivalent of 100 for IRL humans. But obviously there are a ton of ways to massively extend that.
There's a direct quote that I can't find answering this; I think it's a generic response for Dunmer or Morrowind lore.
Holy shit, hero. Pocketing this for when I inevitably go back to Morrowind.
Speaking of, question. How important is load order in MW compared to later Bethesda nightmares? I mostly have experience with Skyrim/Fallout NV.
something along the lines 200 year old elf is rather old and a 300 year old is really OLD
Still very important. Not sure if mlox with the new ruleslist works with openMW but that's the one to use if it does
So how is Fyr able to have survived for 4000 years? Practical immortality from old age is "easy" enough to obtain in TES world but to stay alive for that long means something else. And in all that time he has had no desires of godhood
I got the impression it was unusual for an elf to live to 200 without magical enhancement.
Of course they also live in the area that's most likely to be bad for long term health in Vvardenfell, so maybe if they were in Cyrodiil or something they'd live longer because their lungs aren't constantly filtering out ash.
But honestly it's kind of a moot point since there are numerous ways to extend one's life and you're much more likely to die violently than of natural causes.
He's strong as fuck, in-lore
forgot pic
Necromancy and/or restoration to make himself biologically immortal.
He just doesn't care about being a god; sigma grindset. He definitely could've become one if he wanted.
Wow sounds like a very interesting build to play
He's significantly stronger than Dagoth Ur in game.
I think I enjoy Morrowind a lot more conceptually than I do in actuality.
what's so good about oblivion remastered leveling? I didn't play it
I didn't either, but it's not Oblivion's leveling so it has to be an upgrade.
unc is cracked
youtu.be
honestly I just want to remove the fucking "do mindless bullshit for 20 minutes to an hour to raise your skill to an acceptable level" mechanic and make it more of a "play the game and have fun and you'll just kinda naturally level up eventually and then you can make up for your deficits that way" system
Skyrim solved this and y'all hate it for it.
By making the levels cosmetic?
Skyrim did away with literally everything except Health magicka and stamina
the only thing that needs solving in morrowind is removing the autistic minmaxing of attributes
that anon is just a retard, he might as well play with godmode on
What ever happened to GT Noonan?
i love morrowing
It just gets rid of the attribute multiplier and gives you a fixed number of attribute points every level to allocate how you want. I just like not needing to waste time/gold leveling misc. skills that my build doesn't use to min max the attribute bonus.
then don't?
you don't need to min max the bonus the game is insanely easy after like ten hours no matter what you do
He's talking about Oblivion, which scales fucking everything RIGHT to your level. If your stats fall behind your level, you have to spend like four times as long whacking the exact same shit.
could anybody here post these dunmer scifi/tech future arts I saw there few months ago?
I love them
I think I have a few, dunno if these are the specific ones you're talking about
all those Morrowind threads out of nowhere
Okay I'll give Morrowind a try. Is the vanilla GOG version good enough for a first timer?
I can use a pen and paper for the questlog thing.
Sure. If you're playing without mods, I'd either use openMW or the Morrowind Code Patch though
gross
you know... not everything needs to be shoehorn retconned into the modern lore, some things are okay to leave behind and forgotten as awkward or cringe remnants of early installment weirdness
The updates seem nice, but yeah, nothing worth the hassle of updating for. Plus the old table in the cabin is bigger than the new desk, so my books and magical crap littering it wouldn't fit in the new one.
out of nowhere
Big things are happening in morrowind modding
Bethesda makes a """""new""""" TES game
Endless TES threads for weeks to come
It's crazy how fucking good this series is and how fucking retarded the company in charge handles it.
You're cringe and weird, the gremlins are basically easter eggs and I hope they include more whimsical shit just to make (you) seethe about a game you don't play.
Akshually, the Morrowind threads exist because a big Morrowind mod project put out an update, the slopmaster had nothing to do with it
That's nice. I'm 40, enjoyed the fuck out of Morrowind when the game originally came out and TR has given me a reason to replay it for another unreasonable amount of time.
I don't see how the content is "slop" or low effort, and most of your criticisms sound more like you're some larping kid trying to fit in with the other jaded teenagers. It certainly doesn't reflect most peoples experiences with the mod.
Skyrim threads are just coomer bait
Oblivion threads are graphics wank and UE5 whining
Morrowind threads are actual discussion of the game and mods

et al shilling for a stealth-stopped remaster. Expect a "leak" featuring contentious mechanics to outrage bait, like with the Oblivion remaster. Hence the uncanny NSW-circlejerk dreading naught words like nigger and faggot.
There's the one guy who posts every thread claiming he tried TR and it's an empty, buggy mess while giving off some unwarranted air of superiority. He thinks we haven't noticed, but its pretty hard to miss after several threads in a row.
Not sure if it's the Romanian faggot, it's likely just some retard upset that people are having fun.
Funny because TR/PT is actually gonna have the Lizard Men from Arena in it as one of the Argonian subspecies and Black Marsh's goblin equivalent
Oh boy, it's this retarded faggot again
Yes, yes, I'm sure you've done absolutely no research at all into your little theory, because otherwise you'd know there have been multiple big mod updates lately. But you're a zoomer and you must fit in with the sharty kids, so it's all shills.
No way they would remaster Morrowind, might as well just make a new game at that point it'd be cheaper. People just like this game anon, it captured some magic that later TES titles just don't have.
But these Morrowind threads have all centered around discussion of a fan-driven mod that obviously wouldn't be included in an official remaster, with just about every rare mention of the Oblivion demake being met with scorn?
to answer your question, you can actually buy a house in Anvil but you have to be quite high up in the Kingdom of Anvil
afaik this is the only purchasable home in TR, SHotN, or PC
nah bro you don't get it man bethesda hired the openMW team for the remaster so now it's getting astroturfed maaaaaan
BardGODS it's almost time...
youtube.com
The mod in question is TR, whose team Bethesda would probably never fucking hire due to the massive creative differences alone
TR won't make player homes because they claim to suck at it
Fucking hell, I don't care about layout, I just want a place to drop my loot
Bethesda never even once mentioned TR despite them mentioning various mods from time to time and TR being easily the most impressive of them all
nexusmods.com
this narsis one was made by a TR contributor and is pretty comfy
(you) seethe about a game you don't play.
nigger i am literally in fang lair on dosbox as we speak
There's a player home in Anvil but that's it
TR team doesn't make homes but leaves space for people to make them themselves
so tamriel rebuilt gremlins are the stereotipe of redguards getting tricked like redgaurd game and naked nords?
i want back topless female priestess thats all
No way in hell, the 90's were a completely different era for video games. Mainstream titles have been completely pussyfied because people start clutching pearls when they see some ass on screen.
where did all the naked bitches go
ask kuckbride
I either use the same house mod on Vvardenfell I've used since the late 2000s, or Stormrider.
The ship has a ring that teleports you right there, meaning you can just mark and area and recall back once you're done on the ship, and has a fuck ton of storage in the holds.
Hell, I've currently left my ship anchored in the middle of nowhere in the Sea of Ghosts while I'm wandering the settlements along the Thirr river. That ring is a great feature.
God what a faggot. An incredibly creative, talented person but what an insufferable faggot.
This game is pure screenbait
based
Multimark is really nice; makes you get more mark locations based off of mysticism level
Never felt OP to me but really nice and more of a motivation to level an otherwise niche skill
niche skill
As a pure wizard, mysticism is really good.
Absorb health straight up lets you harm enemies immune to practically all forms of magic.
self casting combat spells
Are you the fabled 30 int wizard?
Seriously though, while yes absorb health is very strong due to the bug with reflect it's also foolish to self cast combat spells.
First I've ever heard of this. What do you do?
????????????????
Have you ever actually played Morrowind?
That many question marks
Not answering my question
You're either trolling or just really arrogant.
The 'bug' is that if cast it on an enemy with reflect spell and it gets reflected, you absorb your own health for 0 net health loss. Turns high risk encounters into zero risk.
It's called a bug because looking at how other spells are reflected you might expect the enemy to absorb your health instead.
No, I mean why is it "foolish" to just cast magic? I've been doing it for years. Yes, enchanted items are nice but I don't see the problem with casting combat magic.
It's just some anon who plays the game in a specific way and expects everyone else to or they're dumb to him.
It's no different to the kids who use the boots of blinding speed every run and claim the game is unplayable without exploits.
Oh, no idea what the fuck he's on about then. I guess if you're hyper-optimizing then it's always more optimal to enchant, but the game is easy enough that you don't have to do that.
He's a min-maxer. Enchanted items don't have a spellcast animation, so you can spam spells with a ring far faster than you can by just casting magic.
I figured as much. I was hoping for some interesting tip I hadn't thought of but yeah, it seems the most likely explanation.
I find it more fun casting spells, enchanted gear is a little too OP if you're making custom stuff, at least for me.
710974735
Have you finally stopped gooning to all those porn mods?
I appropriated Aurelia Draconis house in OE after that quest for FQ
FG*, fuck.
I'm just genuinely shocked. You know you can make enchanted items, right?
They are better than self-casting for combat spells in every way. Since anyone who plays the game, even casually, should notice how strong enchanted items are due to the lack of failure and massive pool for magicka, it's rather unbelievable that you could play a game and not know that enchanted items vastly outclass self-casting for offensive magic.
I'm so shocked people don't use OP methods exclusively
You seem very young.
Anon, of course I know that. I was wondering if you were going to produce some interesting new playstyles that I maybe didn't know about. Apparently not. Honestly, I'm in agreement with . How is it surprising that someone playing a role playing game isn't always interested in the most optimal min-max way of playing?
Please stop replying to it. His posting style makes it obvious he's trolling and/or underage.
OP
Enchanted items are the baseline. You can find rings that will invalidate master destruction mages on the random leveled loot table.
Self-casted magic is just extremely underpowered compared to the alternatives, because while enchanted items are better than melee, melee isn't actually that much worse due to the sustainability and the fact that it can't be reflected/resisted.
It's not like using the blinding speed boots exploit or alchemy exploit or anything, it's just the baseline way the game was intended to be played.
And I'm 28, so young but not a child.
Minmaxing requires conscious effort to go out of your way to improve something. You can roleplay, but not using enchanted items is the equivalent of refusing to upgrade your iron dagger to a steel one because that's 'minmaxing'. Using the steel is just using what the game gave you when it's an obvious upgrade/more efficient method.
Pressing the 'Spellcrafting' or 'Enchanting' button on an NPC isn't minmaxing, it's the normal intended way to play the game.
but not using enchanted items is the equivalent of refusing to upgrade your iron dagger to a steel one
This is incredibly silly.
Morrowind fans are so damn obnoxious
Skyrim fans are so damn retarded
And I'm 28

Jesus Christ...
replying to skyrimjobs in a morrowind thread
Well, this thread is currently unusable. I'll see you retards later.
Why? There's no argument here.
Again, I stress that enchanted items are commonly awarded to the player as loot both from quests and from exploring or killing enemies.
Do you really think people see a Blessed Shield and say "nah I'd rather constantly rest or use my own restoration spells instead of just using this shield"?
Or that if a player finds a flamebolt ring in the smuggler's cave at Seyda Neen they should immediately say "well this is clearly overpowered I can't use it"?
skyrim = skill based rpg
morrowind = number go up rpg
who's really the casual?
I take it you're younger.
It turns out, you are stupid for not using mainline features that the game begs you to use. It'd be like refusing to use the shout system in Skyrim because "that's OP".

Weird, I could have sworn Morrowind came out a decade before that.
all the good mods aren’t compatible with it
ruined funmode exploits
chore to properly set up
Name a single reason to play opennw over vanilla.
You can disable most (all?) of the exploit fixes, it's not at all a chore to setup, and it's much prettier.
If you're extremely lazy or stupid you should avoid it. If you really like the mods that don't work on it then you should avoid it. Otherwise you should use it.
The mod thing is the saddest part. I don't know the technical reason why openmw doesn't have them but hope they all move to it soon.
gee, its been a while since the main game came out, I'm sure pretty much everyone has already beaten the game and is waiting on it. Let's make the difficulty high so we challenge their characters
Can someone explain to me what the difference is. He's called Wulf in the game (like King Wulfharth from the songs, also known as Ysmir). Are Wulfharth/Ysmir/Talos/Tiber not the same thing?
Tiber Septim is the man and Talos the God, There is no Talos without Septim but Talos and Septim aren't the same thing
Uhhh Baldur's Gate 3? Have you been awake for the last decade anon?

I used two before I had levitate but I'm saving my last one. 87h in.
BG3 had to add tons of gay sex so they could be allowed to show the saggy tits of some middle aged bisexual women, not a fair trade at all.
The only “fix” that is fucked up is not being able to get souls from summoned daedra. The ingame dialogue even references you being able to do that, it doesn’t make any sense.
See
The answer is simple. Mages who are strong enough to conjure shit freely gatekeep the access to soul gems.
Wulfharth was that guy King Wulfharth. He wasn't Tiber Septim or Talos, but somebody separate. He may have been an avatar or champion of Shor/Lorkhan.
Ysmir is not a name but a title that means "dragon of the north". Both Wulfharth and Tiber Septim were hailed as Ysmir.
Tiber Septim is worshiped under the name Talos. This is because the imperial cult claims Talos was his original name when he was born in Atmora, and Tiber Septim is a Cyrodiilic name he adopted later. The Arcturian Heresy claims his original name was Hjalti Early-Beard (this is later confirmed as at least partially true), then he was given the name Talos as an honorific title/nickname, and then adopted Tiber Septim later.
Talos/Tiber Septim/Hjalti are all the same guy. Ysmir is a title and it can refer to Talos/Tiber Septim/Hjalti or other nordic kings. Wulfharth is none of these. "Wulf" is a pseudonym for the avatar or whatever it was that appeared in Morrowind, of Talos.
This only makes sense in fragmented places like the Telvanni. For state sponsored programs like Imperial Batltemages that wouldn't happen.
Unless all Imperial Battlemages are complete jobbers which I find unlikely.
What's exactly the in-game dialogue about it?
The only “fix” that is fucked up is not being able to get souls from summoned daedra.
Except you can turn that on?
Telvanni Stronghold quest. The questgiver just tells you to summon some storm atronachs and trap their souls.
Again, you're calling that anon stupid for not rushing to your method of playing, and you actually think the game is "begging" you to exclusively use enchantment as a mage. You minmax and clearly play to a walkthrough or a guide.
I refuse to believe you're as old as you're claiming to be. Nobody your supposed age should be this stupid or arrogant.
why are some of you guys so afraid to rest and regen your mana?
But anon, you're foolish to use the magicka system! You have to use enchantments for everything and all the exploits you can find or the game is unplayable!
I am an atronach chad
not being able to get souls from summoned daedra.
OpenMW does this? what the hell, that makes no sense. Enchanters all over the place have summon daedra scrolls lying around with soul gems next to them. I found a daedra worshiper cave with scrolls and soul gems and scrolls of soul trap. It's a part of the world. That's not even an "exploit fix" that's just banning a piece of gameplay. Reminds me of the Skyrim unofficial "patch".
No idea. It's how it works in D&D and it's how I do it here. The two retards bickering over the magic vs enchantment stuff fail to understand this is an RPG and you can play it how you want. There's no right or wrong answer.
I haven't played Telvanni in a while, but checking the UESP it seems like she doesn't mention summoning.
Do you have a specific quote about using short-lived summoned daedra to get souls?
you can play it how you want. There's no right or wrong answer.
This statement leaves the modern Anon Babble user confused and mindbroken. They don't understand a game can be a story you write yourself through your actions, without also being an empty low effort sandbox
What are some good immersion mods?
I'm looking for some basic survival stuff so I have to eat and sleep, possibly temperature/clothing stuff too. Anything to give me more stuff to do in towns, too? I just find that there's not much to do in town other than vendors.
I'm on MWSE and using TR/PC.
Not on me. IIRC she says you can summon them if you ask her about it again. It's in the "strong souls" dialogue. If you ask about it the first time she just says something like "use a storm atronach or a winged twilight" and if you ask a second time she says "just summon one. You can do that, right?"
I don't have the dialogue on my current Telvanni character because I didn't click that dialogue option a second time until I had the souls on me.
Definitely younger lmao
I'm in grad school working on my doctorate too (physics) so there goes your stupid; I'm definitely more arrogant than I should be but your reading comprehension is poor.
It's not exclusively enchantment, as it's expensive and inconvenient to make enchanted items for spells like water breathing that you'd rarely use and are easier to self-cast.
No guide; here's my stats. You tell me if you think they're a minmaxer's.
Just accept that enchanted items are clearly the intended way of doing magical damage.
good post
because I cast two spells (that have a 50% chance of not working) and then I have to sit down for one hour.
It's very retarded regardless, but EXTREMELY retarded if you're playing a pure mage.
None of the NPCs have this problem. Why does the player?
The descriptions in the Varities of Fatih were confusing me:
Cyrodil
Tiber Septim (Talos, the Dragonborn): Heir to the Seat of Sundered Kings, Tiber Septim is the most important hero-god of Mankind. He conquered all of Tamriel and ushered in the Third Era (and the Third Empire). Also called Ysmir, 'Dragon of the North'.
Skyrim
Ysmir (Dragon of the North): The Nordic aspect of Talos. He withstood the power of the Greybeards' voices long enough to hear their prophecy. Later, many Nords could not look on him without seeing a dragon.
Ysmir is listed as the primary name by which Talos is referred to which is odd if it's just a title that was assigned to multiple different entities.
This is what her page says, and I just don't see references to summons.
To me is ambiguous enough that it could work either way.
The NPCs have that problem too; if you strafe back and forth enemy mages will miss all their spells, run out of magicka, then charge you with a stave/dagger
Is there a hoptoad ring I can just buy? I don't have anywhere near the money to enchant a good one.
Yes, but it's RNG to get it to show up in stores I'm pretty sure. Just check enchanters.
Yeah, there's a generic hoptoad ring, but I don't think that there's one hand-placed anywhere in the world. I think you have to get lucky at an enchanter's store or a smuggler's den or something and roll it.
you can make one with even a lesser filed gem from a vendor and it works just fine. Typically, I will buy the dremora soul filled greater gem from Balmora mages guild, and then use that for a 40 jump spell, then use a lesser gem for 1 point 2 seconds slow fall.
Well if you're in 3E or 4E and you say Ysmir, everyone knows you're talking about Talos. It's more like a historical anecdote that Wulfharth and Pelinal and maybe others we don't know were called by the name, probably only scholars would know that.
How do we feel about the lore that Creeper is Clavicus's better half?
Arrogant and living evidence they'll let anything into college now
Wonderful.
Are there any mods that make the 'fight' value stop resetting? So if you calm->intimidate the NPC they won't attack you again after X hours?
It would be fine if it was hard to trade with it. As it stands it reads like an Oblivion asspull to justify an oversight during Morrowind development.
Original guy this stupid argument started over here:
I don't care anymore. I really fucking don't. I'm going to continue enjoying the game my own way. If you want to get mad over that or whatever that's fine, but holy shit do I regret asking such an innocuous question.
This is off topic now, but doctoral programs are completely different from 'college'. I was hired to do research; I'm being paid and there are no classes. It's an underpaid job, not school.
Fight value resets? I've done the Calm->Intimidate trick to the master enchant trainer and never had a problem with him wanting to fight me afterwards, even if I leave and come back.
If you're so smart, how are you unable to understand people play RPGs differently?
rpgs back in the early 2000s loved this trope, wonder how it spread from dev team to dev team back then
I mean, it was dumb of you to even bother responding in the first place, what were you expecting to hear other than enchantments? That anon's posts reeked of ego issues, so it would have been better to ignore him. But this is Anon Babble so of fucking course nobody can just go and do that, it's always got to be the last word like kids in a playground.
Yeah it does for me. IDK what the timeline is though, because it lasts for a while.
they wouldn't have needed to justify it if the Morrowind team actually looked over what they were doing and communicated and didn't let some guy stick an overpowered merchant in an obvious place in the middle of a town to reference his friend
Telvanni mainland holdings were destroyed by Argonians during the Red Year
the ones on the island that literally fucking exploded were fine tho
Never even heard of this, why would you believe it?
Welcome to what happens when you let some rando do a novel and then declare the whole thing canon
Don't worry, it also happened to WoW very famously
Hello? Hey! Pay attention! In your pack. The dog. I swear, you heroes aren't particularly quick on the uptake.... Good. Got your attention. I'm Barbas, the Hound of Clavicus Vile. Not that I've always been a hound, or always been called Barbas. I've also been a Redguard. For a while I was a scamp, making deals with Orcs. But, for now, I am His Hound, and I serve the Lord Clavicus. A word of advice here. You've made a bad deal. This Umbra -- bad business. Things always end badly where that one's concerned. Clavicus has always been a little blind to that. And it'll end badly this time, too. So, just leave things be. Walk away. It's your best bet, really.
Barbas's dialogue in Oblivion
Yeah, now is comfy survival time
look up something on UESP
3/4ths of the article is shit taken from ESO
True enough, but considering they were so rushed and desperate that they allowed Todd to write quests I consider Creeper to be a minor problem in comparison.
Left open to interpretation then.
Personally I don't like it because it just doesn't make any sense. Creeper is a bad easter egg, nothing more.
ESO is the only thing that actually explores and expands on TES lore unfortunately.
There's a reason 99% of PT/TR stuff is either entirely made up or extreme extrapolations on single throwaway lines or scrapped concept art.
go on a second Morrowind playthrough out of boredom with a mod package i've forgotten about like 3 years ago
start again
there's a circle now to the west of Seyda Neen
cool
swim there at level 2
there's a fucking Genghis Khan-tier army of skeletons shooting me down
vacuum the area for an hour straight
there are two extremely OP liches
turns out it's actually Siege of Firemoth and somehow i've never noticed it existing on my previous playthrough
turns out my mods have somehow doubled the amount of enemies
see the tactics on it since i can't trust Todd after fucking Bloodmoon or Tribunal or whether i'm actually underpowered
"just down his fatigue bro"
six levels later, several scrolls on damaging fatigue and every stat out there
i gotta just poke them with that fatigue-draining sixth house dagger from Vivec till they fall
get back
where's the dagge-
ah fuck it's on the floor of some pawnbroker in Balmora
end up summoning a skeleton with a ring and pummeling them to death with an ebony longsword for 6 minutes
10/10 love me some two wards of akavir
I don't have anywhere near the money to enchant a good one.
Beware of what you wish. I blew 2000 gold and an Ogrim soul on a Jump 100 ring but forgot to include slowfall so there's a 80% chance i'll plaster myself against a wall or a tree every time I use it.
A lot of TR/PT shit is actually taken from obscure sources from the time like ancient dev interviews (e.g creatures like velks and sand kwooms), those mobile spin-offs from way back (Ice tribes, high rock's flying sea fauna) and the Redguard comic (giant wasps that are tamed and ridden as mounts by house dres), they're also willing to selectively use things that were technically introduced in Oblivion and Skyrim if they judge it to be interesting enough, like all the alessian empire lore and the argonian account books. I think ESO lore is the one thing they absolutely don't use, which is good because that shit is all garbage
Yeah, I want to make myself some nice enchanted bullshit but the money needed is silly. I may have to start seeing mubcrab in this run, although now I'm level 25 is it really that much of a cheat? I'm naturally overpowered after struggling.
No idea why people say mages are OP when I have a harder time surviving as one than I do a pure warrior. I should have gone Atronoch instead of Mage.
Wait who's the "master" in this case
You just need the money once since you can sell items for full value to the enchanter to recoup the cost
If you don't have 100k (most expensive I've seen an enchant was like 70k) by level 25 I've got serious questions about what you've been doing
Also Atronoch is BIS for all builds, even mage ones
There's no reason a mage should have less survivability than a warrior; they have access to the same defenses and more
what mod do you get to have that "read" / grayed out option for dialogue choices?
Man, I wish morrowind thread were that frequent. I just got into morrowind and I mostly played vanilla openmw. Thanks for this, dude
Man, I wish morrowind thread were that frequent.
My man it's a general they're up 20+ hours a day
"they maybe somtimes kept in jars"
I'm about to eminent domain some god fearing dunmer ranchers to build a caravanserai, god i love being a dog of the empire
How laggy is Mercy Combat AI Overhaul?
what mod do you get to have that "read" / grayed out option for dialogue choices?
It's part of OpenMW. Go to settings > interface > and check "change dialogue topic color"
If you don't have 100k (most expensive I've seen an enchant was like 70k) by level 25 I've got serious questions about what you've been doing
I haven't been using creature merchants, I don't use exploits and can't find people with the money to buy my increasing list of very expensive gear that, as you correctly point out, should make me richer than that,
(most expensive I've seen an enchant was like 70k
If you want a good ring that boosts INT as a CE enchantment I'm certain those are over 100k.
You sell at the merchant max. When I was a kid I was selling 10000 value daedric weapons for 1000 each, Lord knows the game gives you enough of them.
I don't use creature merchants or exploits either, but I found your problem. You just have to accept that you won't get full value for most items. If you did like two daedric weapons would fund your entire playthrough.
So take the 1500 gold the smith has for an orcish piece even if it's worth more until you build a bankroll, then you won't ever really make a dent in that bankroll because of the ability to sell at full price to the enchanter. The gold's worth something to you, the ninth pair of orcish boots isn't.
Ah maybe, I don't use CE rings because I use rings for spells and don't want to do inventory autism, would rather just press the hotekys
spend 100 hours modding skyrim
the combat now looks and plays like a budget shovelware ps2 title
I will never understand the horde of retards trying to make skyrim into an action game.
There is a fair in-game way to find a (non creature) merchant with a lot of gold. Look for a book about being a merchant, the guy who wrote it is an actual NPC you can visit and he's loaded. His name is a hint to where he's found.
The idea of Skyrim is very appealing. The quests can't easily be improved, the lifeless NPCs can't easily be improved, the dogshit AI can't easily be improved. The combat can easily be changed. It just doesn't change that the underlying game is shit.
Sleeping in the middle of the day due to gameplay mechanics is kinda cringe.
I'm an almighty wizard! Phew that scrib sure was tough, let me take a quick power nap to top of my mana!
If you're using ashfall, you'll probably sleep at night anyway.
Skyrim is fucking amazing at being a world to just exist in and wander around and look at stuff. So it feels like if you just add one thing here, fix one thing there, it could be this absolutely perfect everything-game. But before you know it you're replacing every single system and it collapses under the weight of 1500 mods.
You are right, but even the combat, even with 100 mods shoved into it. It's always janky as all fuck and always looks much more retarded than vanilla. I just don't get how people don't see that.
Gaynor doesnt force you into a fight if you do the Plaza invasion quest after he gets the ebony armor, he turns into a good citizen and tells you to rush to the plaza, after that he acts like a normal NPC again.
skyrim is amazing at being a world
It's really not. It's one of the worst parts about it. There's almost nothing interesting or worth seeing in that world.
I would go as far as to say that out of all videogame worlds, Skyrim is probably at the very bottom of the list as far as 'interesting to live in' goes.
I'm curious what you think is better. I can't think of many worlds with that map scale, full persistence, NPC schedules (however simple they may be), radiant quest-type content, etc. The compromises everyone complains about (cities being villages) never felt like a fundamental problem to me. Problem yes, but not fundamental to the game design. Again it's something that feels like if you just installed a mod you could fix it (but you actually can't)
But these ps2 games don't have the Skyrim world
It's not gay. You're gay.
Map scale
There are many.
Full persistence
This literally doesn't mean anything.
NPC schedules
Seeing the same NPCs use the same lines and do the exact same things every day removes immersion, if anything
Radiant quests
See above. Yeah, somehow a bear broke into a home in whiterun, past the city walls and dozens of guards and locked doors.
But more to the point, I'm not even talking about mechanics. I'm talking about pure lore. Skyrim lore/characters are painfully generic. The NPCs share voices, none of them have anything interesting to say, the shops all sell the same thing, there are no events in towns, there's very few secrets, it's just overall an incredibly dull place to be in.
I've noticed no lag at all from Mercy, his Dynamic Reticle mod lags the shit out of me though which sucks because it's great. I think it has something to do with OpenMW PBR
Just make a slowfall 1pt spell for a few seconds and cast it before you land, even at low alteration it should be doable
Thank you, I will check it later to see how my modlist fares
There's some rich ass merchant fucks in Tribunal in the Craftsmen's hall and the great bazaar
NTA but the map scale isn't that impressive. It didn't feel any bigger than the prior entries, and feels smaller than proc gen ones. Obviously with time even bigger ones have come out.
Persistence isn't full; dungeons respawn and your actions have few if any consequences.
NPC schedules barely exist, which is extremely noticeable coming from Oblivion. Massive downgrade. However most RPGs don't have any, so that's something.
Radiant quest-type content is extremely fucking boring. Literal MMO filler quests.
There are many.
Correct, but those many don't really do the other stuff. Like Morrowind is great but Vvardenfell's map scale is actually pitifully small. (not necessarily their fault, it was an xbox game after all)
This literally doesn't mean anything.
Like when you move something it stays moved, when you drop an item it stays there, all the NPCs actually exist and aren't just fake crowd people, etc.
Seeing the same NPCs use the same lines and do the exact same things every day removes immersion, if anything
Well the alternative is them standing still doing nothing and still using the same exact lines, too. I see where you're coming from, less detail means easier suspension of disbelief. I just feel like Skyrim is still in the range where roleplaying is possible, without having the world feel too static either (even though it basically is)
none of them have anything interesting to say, the shops all sell the same thing, there are no events in towns
Yeah, what I mean is the world is "good enough" that it feels like if only mods could fix these details it'd be perfect, but they actually can't, so it becomes this game people are obsessed with modding into their dream game that will never exist
Yeah, I'll probably do that later. This and blowing 5000 gold to get my Security to 31 still were probably some of my better financial investments.
what are some underrated or lesser known mods you would recommend?
Dwemer coins my man. Pick the merchant with the most gold that you want yo use primarily, sell all your Dwemer coins to them. When you go to sell high value items later, you can take part of your payment in dwemer coins. You can sell the coins back to them later, or just spend days waiting to sell them back. I have a survival needs mod so I enjoy spending days selling off goods, and having to use up my food stores or sometimes go and obtain more. Like I actually spent a week in town doing business like a real merchant. You can handily do this with any low weight high value item, like filled soul gems (even if you have their value reduced because you find them exploitative).
Children of Morrowind
5000 gold to get my Security to 31
Why not train Alteration instead?
The nice thing about the spell I mentioned is it will be very cheap to buy as well as cast. So don't wait too long.
Where are their slave bracers? I can't fap to this...
I was just exploring the Narsis guild of mages for the first time, pretty cool
was not expecting to Chernobyl the whole place lmao the comedic timing created by the no pause mod with the guy screaming to lower the rods 2 milliseconds before kaboom was so funny
Stomrider expanded for Openwm
nexusmods.com
Enchanting is simply too expensive.
I can buy a boat for less money than a damaging enchantment with a similar magnitude to a 400g spell.
The enchantment prices are TOO DAMN HIGH!
Good.
It's already broken as is, it doesn't really need to be cheaper. Also, you can still make it trivially cheap if you want.
clownsuit on
shit weapon
training costs doubled
level speed halved
wandering around Dondril
Yep it's new playthrough time
fix/balance something out with a mod
three other things become bullshit
balance THEM with mods
nine more issues pop up
install mods to fix all that
bizarre unknown error crashes as soon as I load save
troubleshoot to figure out which mod is causing it
it's the coolest one (the one I was most excited to play)
I just want to have fun again...
Yup. And even a lot of it is very surface level. They were just forced to make shit up since they were doing unexplored provinces.
Why can't they have stuff like this for regular MW? I'm not wanting to do TR right now, and don't want to install it. But I would like to toodle around Vvardenfell on my own ship
Yeah, I agree with this. I get that enchantment using anon's point, but it's no real inconvenience to just cast spells. It's not a multiplayer game, you don't need to quickdraw and spam.
The real good shit is using actual magic AND enchanted gear
watch your mouth, Telvanni
Anon, that's an updated version of the original Stormrider. The original IS a non-TR mod.
Do NOT post Touhou in morrowind threads ever again
I honestly agree
I think they saw how enchant ended up in the finished game (utterly broken mess) and instead of fixing it in some way they just made it laughably expensive
but it's no real inconvenience to just cast spells
If you don't optimize for it it really is
Like if you're an atronach Altmer yeah it's fine
But if you didn't plan and obtain the right items the magicka pool is pitiful and doesn't regenerate so...
Enchantment isn't broken enough. It's hard to get enchantments worth using on most pieces, and you can't make enchantments as strong as many items you find in the world. Enchant level doesn't even let you make better stuff, it just increases the success chance of doing it yourself. At level 100 enchant I should be able to make the boots of blinding speed myself. I should be able to expand the enchant capacity of items. How the fuck did Tarhiel make those scrolls?
This mod will be kino if PT ever gets to complete the sea between the Summerset Isles, Valenwood, Hammerfell and Cyrodiil
Accurate
when disparate fanbases collide
and doesn't regenerate so...
I use fair magicka regen and the materials for restore magicka potions is plentiful in TR. I'm doing alright and I'm enjoying myself.
It's hard to get enchantments worth using on most pieces,
u wot m8?
Items in the world being better is good, and enchant level should let you make better enchantments. But you can make a useful spell on any piece.
But is it for OpenMW?
I use a mod to change that so vanilla isn't real
thanks for the response s'wit
Anon Babblehu posters need to be banned, or at least banished to Anon Babble where they belong, like the old days. You faggots think you're cute, you'll make a thread with a topic that appears to be generically vidya related with a 2hu character as the op image. Then you read the thread, and it's entirely 2hu shitposting, 99% of which isn't even about the games, 50% of which isn't even about the actual characters or setting or lore it's just overused memes, hornyposters and schizo spammers posting the same shit day after day. Almost none of the discussion will even be about the disingenuous thread topic either, so kami forbid you actually thought the CLICKBAIT op had an interesting premise and wanted to talk about whatever it is, nope sorry meira balls! Hahaha meira balls so funny joke! I'm sick of it and I'm sick of you. All of you, not just the meira fag. Just fuck off to Anon Babble and post in a general if you're going to make these dogshit 2hu generals disguised as actual threads. You even shit up existing threads too, one person posts a 2hu or 2hu adjacent image and inevitably some FAGGOT is like
is this the thread?!
I hope the jannies continue to move and close your threads but the mods really need to start banning your asses. I wish there was a ban beyond rangeban, some esoteric shit like a soul ban so that no matter your device or to hell with dynamic IPs, you could be banned from posting this trash because the system recognizes and shuns your very immortal soul (which shall surely burn in hell for this faggotry). Write this permaban into the Akashic records and go screaming into the abyss you worthless trash.
Yes, I mad.
Oh boy! Another day of work is over, time to be a useless piece of shit in Morrowind!
Even Pauldrons? Nah. You need to use like Daedric pauldrons otherwise you gotta put some lame shit on it you'll never use because you can cast better spells even at middling level
But you can make a useful spell on any piece.
You can also just stock up on Fort Int/Will potions from vendors, not even abusing Alchemy, and cast the spell yourself and it would cost a fraction of a fraction of a similar enchantment.
Even on a pure fighter character it's been to just use potions to cast spells than spending money on an enchantment, without taking into account world loot and scrolls.
Most of us are playing with mods though.
But yeah, if you really want to win the argument for some weird ego reason, you're mostly correct with vanilla. That can be a pain.
They do. it doesn't rely on TR.
The original non-openMW version was taken down because the modder had a tism fit, but Nexus archives all mods for that exact reason. And now it seems someone re-upped it with his permission anyway, weird.
nexusmods.com
lmfao
Anon, this guy has been in the thread all day and he DOES NOT back down on his bullshit. Just tell him he's right and oh so smart and let the idiot go about his own egotistical way.
That's what my "Jump 20 to 100, 2 seconds" spell does.
It's cheap enough to proc the chance and can get you far enough.
For me, it's Arvesa.
Restore spells fit even on 1 slots, which saves you potions/shrines
Slow fall, soul trap, frenzy and more all fit too
Plenty useful
You could have saved all those keystrokes and just said they spam schizo generals.
It's pasta
Keystrokes? You mean ctrl C and ctrl V?
Yes but I'm the chef who cooked the pasta. I need to serve it when opportunity arrives.
based
Restore spells? I don't need that shit, I got potions.
OpenMW does this?
As said it's an optional setting that can be disabled at the launcher. It's not a big deal.
That's the "final form" of your shapeshifting sword-companion from the Blademeister mod. Decent content, weapon stats evolve with your character, and unlocks new transformations by feeding it things like filled soul gems and special weapons. Sadly no support for TD or OAAB creatures...yet.
Shes ur vry speshul fren :3
I hate that image because you wouldn't go to a fucking mcdonalds drive thru and ask for an uncooked egg and rice
unless you're in the Philippines or something
Blademeister
travel Vvardenfell to feed a magic shapeshifting weapon
Fuck. I guess I have another thing to do on my next run.
Okay and? The point was you can put something useful on it, and it is useful
It has no additional weight unlike potions and the cost may end up being less than the potions depending on how often it gets used
Kill some crazy Nord in a tomb who immediately attacks me
"The thread of prophecy is severed"
So close to finish this list
Playing as a mage
Things I regret doing:
Choosing the mage sign
Making unarmoured a skill
Not bothering with a weapon type because I wanted to be pure magic
Not adding conjuration
Semi regretting not adding enchantment but fuck it the only thing of value that effects are charges on items. Yes I know that's pretty big but at least they still work regardless.
All of this is eventually moot because even misc skills can be made usable and powerful, but damn I fucked up a few times here. I've been playing since release but I rarely bother with magic builds outside of alchemy, making warriors or thieves all the time instead.
It's been fun all the same. I was barely scraping by as a trainee mage and now I'm finally getting strong enough to fix my mistakes and have some cool adventures.
I also now have a nice blunt weapon skill so I can bonk things with my staff.
Anyway, the big dumb cruise continues, and boy do my holds contain a lot of loot to sell when I get back to civilization. Enough for some training and enchanting some neat things, like the ring I caught when fishing. I'm semi tempted to make it an invisibility ring due to how I found it like Gollum.
It's Morrowind. Large Kwama Egg ain't even on the Septim Menu, they get the small.
I like OpenMw because instead of killing Divayth Fyr for his almost full Daedric set I can taunt him, disintegrate armor until it's broken and in his inventory, beat the shit out of him with my fists, and take the broken armor off his old dark elf ass while he's knocked the fuck out. Then I can calm him, compliment his beard, his mushroom house with zombie theme park basement, and his hot daughterclonesisterwives a few times to make him love me again, and force him to live with the shame.
I feel that regret with Armorer as a skill. I go fight for a couple dungeons, repair everything, and don't even get a single level. Shit is just hard stuck at 50, will probably never get past 60.
Uh, you can do that in vanilla? I did that on the original Xbox version.
I never take Enchant as a skill because you're literally never going to level it up naturally anyway.

I feel a mod to give enchanting xp for using enchants is practically necessary; hate that skill otherwise
I'm loving the new boats, but it could use a toggle for the wind direction realism and tying speed to mercantile, I keep having to console command the speed to 100x to not move like a slug. I'm using Ashlander Architect:

for the empty interiors along with Perfect Placement. It's been really handy to move items and furniture on the fly, or delete obstacles that get in the way of sailing, like the gates at Almas Thirr. I'm now working on a pirate hideout on an Island in the Abecean. Normally I don't like Settlement Slop, but Morrowind really benefits from it now with the vast spaces of TR/PT.
I don't get the hate honestly. I played through it as grug with a sword and didn't really struggle with it. Nothing can't be solved by drinking sujamma.
Saltrice is fine raw. It's crunchy and salty as you'd expect. Kinda like long thin crackers. I don't even like it in porridge form unless you mix in some scrib jelly to give it a little punch. There is nothing indicating whether the kwama egg is cooked or not. But they're edible raw. Didn't you ever see the Ra'key movies? He eats raw kwama eggs for the protein when he's training for his big fight against "Malacath" Jonzgrob. Perfectly safe and you get used to the texture.

Try to make some summoning items with enchanting
Minus 548 chance
It's not worth the price to do it though
I was barely scraping by as a trainee mage and now I'm finally getting strong enough to fix my mistakes and have some cool adventures.
Pretty sure this is canon to being a mage in Morrowind anyway. The journeymen are always getting killed or sent on dangerous assignments and an old and powerful mage had to survive their time during this stage too. Even the mages guild is like a slightly nicer Telvanni, really.
Then make it cheaper.
Enchanting can range from prohibitively expensive to virtually free just by engaging with in-game mechanics.
Vanilla doesn't have the option to be able to take items off knocked out NPCs. You could do roughly the same thing by calming him and then pickpocketing after breaking his items, but it's not the same feeling of satisfaction IMO especially because he can still catch you so you will likely have to savescum and load several times to grab all the pieces off him.
Before you try to argue I will reiterate, it is not possible to loot unconscious NPCs in vanilla Morrowind. This is explicitly a feature added by MCP or OpenMW. I just appreciate it's a built in (but toggleable) feature in OpenMW.
The price of like 100 septims for a few petty soul gems? Those enchants are actually easy to do yourself
Or I could just not bother
Oh yes the big ships are completely empty, I only plan to use a small one and maybe the Altmer one and fix it with perfect placement
No, you're right I misread your post.
Well at least you're not that schizo from a few threads back who thought Touhou was just some random anime game.
Well, yeah.
Just like you can choose to not bother with Security and just use magic instead. Or not bother with training Athletics because you're going to levitate with 800 speed anyway.
Dude, why the fuck are you so obsessed with making everyone play the game your way? What bizarre ego problem do you have? It's been all day.
What bizarre ego problem do you have
Guy earlier said he's training for a doctorate or something. I'm yet to meet one of those guys who doesn't have a gigantic ego problem for some reason.
Personally, I prefer doing security because I like the clickety clack sounds and using up picks and probes, I only use alteration until my security is good enough
finish the thieves guild in Narsis

With that you aren't even able to pay for a ship
I'm not even the guy you're obsessed with. You're sperging out at random people because they have a different opinion than yours.
I've never left 2005

No sweaty, you are the one I'm obsessed with, you and your tight little tushy. Now come over here and plant a juicy one on the cheek of ol' Uncle Crassius..
Won't you?
Only the ones with huge egos would be talking about it to strangers in the first place. My aunt drones on about her doctorate in education and how it makes her smarter than everyone, but she's a child abusing drug addict who can't find a relevant job because she can't pass a background check.
TR should add daedra summoning cults like the covens in Daggerfall. Also make the summoning cost ridiculously expensive too.
You're sperging out at random people because they have a different opinion than yours.
The irony.
The hat stays on
Best questlines in TR? What was the most interesting one you've done so far?
Does PC count? I liked the thief's guild in Anvil
