Halo wars

Any KH game except DDD or 3.

Paper Mario 64

Max Payne 1
DMC3

Yoshi's Island

GTA V (unironically). Just to drive around for half an hour and then quit.

Can't move when aiming

Tank controls

Opposite of comfy

Any classic Atari game. Black Widow, Demons to Diamonds, Centipede, etc. the simplicity of games of that era is always cozy to me.

ds1 and monster hunter world

what the fuck is a "comfort game"? Playing a good game is always comfy, even if intense, but me thinks this is something else ...

dark souls 3

Clair Obscure Expedition 33

Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous

Mariokart 64.
Pilotwings 64 would probably be comfier, but I always forget I have it.

Jak X

a game you always come back to cause its a safe choice. it brings you comfort. its a game that is always there for you.

Don't have one, escapism no longer works on me.

7 days to die. I mine a bunch of shit and then build really terrible and uninspiring bases

Doom, F-Zero, World of Warcraft

Warcraft 3. It's also my favorite game in general.

any flavour of quake, doom 1-2 or unreal 2k4
f-zero x&gx, starwars ep1 racer
marioparty 1-3 with friends
mashed/micromachines,
darksouls2
project gotham with my brother even if that is more his favourite game
(survival) horror games

i dont play them as much but i enjoy a 3d platformer and stealth games too
xcom is on the edge of what I consider comfort as the game when played right makes you stressed as fuck

das chars 3.png - 2743x900, 3.34M

I really have no idea. I guess I could make games im nostalgic about but I don't really go back to a certain game whenever I'm feeling sad or something

not a game, but a genre
artistic walking sims with strong atmosphere

sly 2

Make

Name*, obviously

Just got What Remains of Edith Finch, did you play it?

Hitman or Skyrim

Agent 48.jpg - 1322x1080, 78.6K

Vermintide 2.

my comfort game is lying in bed under my blanket and daydreaming

I.V.A.N., SNES Wizardry, Kenshi

Bloodborne
Armored Core
Team Fortress

For me, it's Banjo Kazooie

based

Ocarina of Time.

Stuck Navi.webm - 920x516, 3.75M

My man, Warcraft 3 must be the game I come back to most. I didn't even play it until like 2015 or later, the game is just so solid and simple

Toxotransmosis moment.

Audiosurf
Load up a favorite track and just play
And since you like new tracks over time, that means endless replayability

oh, I see :) In that case Darkest Dungeon - been playing that shit since it came out, still haven't beat it ;dd

Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II: Retribution The Last Stand game mode

360noscope.png - 1438x1080, 2.21M

yes, and it was an incredible game
try to avoid spoilers, and play it when you're in the mood for an immersive story experience
my standards might be low, but i'd give it a true 10/10

skill issue

Portal 2

halo on heroic

Djmax and rhythm games in general

I've been looking for the soundtrack of a game by them whose main thing is opening up pieces of a board to reveal dog pictures underneath, but I cannot for the life of me remember its name.
You got any ideas?

Superstar Saga and Bowser's Inside Story

71u6ZOpg6hL.jpg - 1440x1295, 237.97K

it's surprisingly comfy once you realize how best to play it with all its jank and gank

Pokemon Platinum, FFX, Pokemon Emerald, Mario RPG

Tetris and the mobile version of civ rev are very good choices

TF2

Underrail

By yourself or invading/coop?

multiplayer options are grayed out, its offline
NO spirit ashes

So what do you do? Just beat it over and over to NG+15 or something? Do themed runs?

yeah basically
I do play multiplayer sometime, just not in that run in particular
that was the first playthrough of dlc and I always do new content offline for rollslop

Doom wads.

Based, but Underrail is definitely NOT a confortable game.

Rimslop, I play it yearly

S.T.A.L.K.E.R., HoMM3 and Rimworld
Take a guess from which part of the world I am

Dynasty Warriors Gundam 2

The first MGS is still the comfiest game of all time for me. I can play it every other month and always feel at home

is everybody just becoming a redditor and a woman?

most vee users are women

talking about things I like is reddit

New Vegas was for a long time, but I haven't played games in over 7 months now, I simply don't want to

All of them. I only play comfy games, never touch stressful ones. (YMMV)

Something turn-based or with a pause-mode, so there's zero real rush and you're free to take your sweet time
Something with nice visuals that are easy on the eyes, with music and sound design to match
Civ 5 always leaps out to me in this regard

civ (2).jpg - 1920x1200, 751.88K

fuck off troon

i don't have a "comfort" game. What kind of retarded idea is that? Are you a woman or something?

ToxoChadmosis

Any man that lives alone with a cat isn't a "chad". If you were a "chad", you'd have a wife and kids.

minecraft, every time I start again and upgrade to diamond level equipment, then jump in lava because after that the game is kinda tedious

A father of two has a file named "go away toxotranny.gif" on his mobile phone.

Morrowind. Just hanging around the starting areas is super comfy, and Balmora is my favourite town in videogames. Tamriel Rebuilt has some amazing and comfy locations too, but nothing can beat Balmora.

Dark Souls up until you beat O&S. I can never be bothered to finish it after that but the game up until that point is perfection.

unionically godhand
whenever im stressed and i just wanna feel comfy and remember my need days i just start a new palythrough

painted nails

i fucking hate women

imagine getting triggered by this

lovely cat.jpg - 1280x1593, 227.54K

And the epitome of male testosterone has a folder full of heckin wholesome chonkers to avatarfag with.

Modded bannerlord and fallout 4. Fallout 4 especially.

my dad is addicted to playing RDR2. he's 68
its all he ever does. he likes starting bar fights, taking trains and putting the passengers on the railroad tracks then running them over, and taking a bunch of boob pics of karen

Didnt mean to quote

TF2. It has been my comfort game for over a decade and I still suck absolute fucking ass at it. How do I get gud?

mount&blade and total warhamme

How do I get gud?

By playing a game that isn't filled with bots and script kiddies

Final Fantasy VIII, IX and X, VII somewhat too, i suppose.

how fragile do you gotta be to get so angry when people post cats?

DRG and TF2 for multiplayer
Dishonored, VtmB and The Void for singleplayer.

pokemon silver and pokemon ruby
i tried crystal and emerald, but they are slower and more annoying in multiple wats

You're the one getting butthurt and going on a triad. You and the other beta male that doesn't even have the stones to reply properly. Your kind, you're pitiful.

nice

file.jpg - 1000x800, 60.96K

unironically calling people betas

lol faggot

Spoken like a true beta male, thanks for playing.

There's literally nothing comfier than cracking open difficult or complex games until you make them your bitch and can play them as easily as a casual game. Fear and Hunger 2 is an awful sequel in almost every metric but damn if breaking it in half until it became little more than a roguelite wasn't satisfying as hell.

The Division 2
Noita

Same but MGS3, I know the game inside out. All of the MGS are actually pretty comfy.

yRY9PRl.png - 1024x1365, 2.34M

Super Mario World

Titanfall 2, but instead of the SP I usually load up a local match where I play solo against bots in either Bounty Hunt or Attrition modes. I don't know what it is about that game that makes it relaxing for me, but perhaps it has to do with the movement mechanics being so easy to play around with but hard to master if I want to achieve and maintain a constant speed of over 50 km/h.

Ever since they added NG+ with 3 paths and permadeath difficulty I've been enjoying Voidwrought on my Deck...

voidwrought.jpg - 1920x1080, 298.19K

this looks awful

Shit now we're talking

Right now doom dark ages, on my 4th play thru.
Use to be STALKER SOC/COC or dues ex 1

i need to vent on this demon, she looks out of character with that secure, proud look.

My dad was the same way with 1 and he'd be about the same age. I think that they have a connection to the western genre that makes those games perfect for them, it's a little piece of being 10 years old again.

Amped 2, i wish i had Amped 3 but i didn't have a (whatever Xbox it came out on)

Rat whacking game 2
USAID shill whacking game (map design is shit though)
Kingdom come 2 (looks like going for a walk but with an iron stick you whack people with)
Going for a walk (looks like kingdom come minus iron sticks you whack people with)
Dorf fort
Anno 1800
Paradox map games

they grew up with a bunch of westerns
even kids shows were cowboy shows. then when they got older, a bunch of spaghetti westerns came out

terrorist hunt in R6 Vegas 2, on high density and realistic.
I've played those 12 maps a hundred times each, I probably have a bunch of world records unknowingly. I don't know why but it relaxes me. perhaps it's the comfiness of the maps. there's also a beautiful serenity between the gunfights since there's no music in the background.

Used to be C&C Zero Hour for an entire decade, then I played STALKER and the 3rd installment became the new comfort game

Karryn's Prison

used to be Classic WoW but I quit recently because I can no longer cope with Blizzard

Fallout 3, I love wandering the wastes and DC ruins

Dark Souls, Factorio and Mass Effect

island jannie

Only correct answers are Breath of the Wild & Tears of the Kingdom

Impressions city builders.

going on a triad

Based

I've also done around 4 playthroughs, I'm at 50+ hours but I don't think it'll ever become a comfort game for me. there's just no comfiness in any of the maps, especially not in the cosmic levels. the atmosphere is rather oppressive I'd say. TAG2 in Eternal is where it's at.

xrd

I guess I can count Genshin then

Disagree

Siege pt1 is comfy, so is the forsaken plains & resurrection. And all the cosmic especially the ship level.
Oh the last level, the map layout feels like made in SLADE by really good mapper.

Never got the feeling from eternal except cultist base, super gore nest and first level of urdak. None of the DLC levels except UAC atlantica was comfy.

Shmups actually. Playing them back to back can get tiring, but they work pretty well as something you can always go back to.

Persona 4
Zelda Wind Waker

I need a comfy strategy or exploration game that's not very punishing if you mess up and ideally not timed in any way.

Exploration:

Skyrim

Strategy:

Factorio.

dude, how do you not feel at home in reclaimed earth? also the world spear is just beautiful. different srokes I guess.

used to be minecraft
now nothing fills or covers the void

Don’t get me wrong those map are pretty esp ending of spear prob my fav but the fights & traversal was too gimmicky and didn’t have fun.

your stupid worthless cunt fuck you OP why you gotta ask dumb questions???
