Golden route when?
Golden route when?
I STILL BELIEVE
Never
When did that happen?
Persona is down the hall to the left
The Reacher (act 3 optional axon)
They deserve better
Never. They'll release a Lune/Sciel threesome route, but that's it.
Why did she drop the letter like that bros??
Charlie Cox did not give a fuck about this game you can hear it in his phones in performance in the fact he did 0 promotion for it so why would he come back for DLC
Retard doesn’t know that Cox is contractually obligated to not take any promotional tour of anything else while filming DD
We HAVE to save them right? It can't end like this
Why Clea?
His performance as Gustave still sucked, bubba. Compare him to Andy Serkis.
Only unfucked painter left that could lend a hand.
Gustave's moustache always looked oddly pronounced in his battle portrait.
It was alright.
filters Anon Babble - Video Games
Does anyone else feel like the game has very little or nothing to say? Every topic it brings up gets no resolution.
This would be the case had my IQ been lower
It has a very clear message that Dumbledore delivered in one line twenty years ago: "It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live."
eternally suffering little girl
mother/god literally created her to be a victim and to feel pain
knows that she is just a copy of someone else and her world is "not real"
she and her world are caught in a conflict between the gods that could end her reality
even still, she is deeply hopeful that a peaceful resolution will be reached, and the canvas will be left in peace
brother dearest proceeds to do the complete opposite of all she had hoped for
he dismisses her letter
he kills her father, the person who cared for her most
he boots her mother off the canvas, with whom she had a close bond even if she was the cause of her pain
he sacrifices every other human being
Gee, I wonder why she could be upset.
I don't want to believe that the writers truly concluded with "touch grass lmao, gottem", that would make my middling opinion of the game even weaker.
It is that, though you're being a bit dramatic
Whose idea was it to put a dark souls boss in Expedition 33
I always wondered was Aline also the painted Version of Alicia and Verso mom as well?
DLC
Yeah, she painted copies of her family members to serve as her family in her delusion
It's not over. They, Monoco, Noco, Esquie will all have their new beginnings.
Man Verso really did fuck her over.
Soon
Never ever.
I know you're just shitposting, but A Life to Dream is just that. It's intentionally done for you to wonder about what could have been. Verso and more importantly, Alicia made her choice.
tfw turned down sciel at every opportunity 'cause I had a feeling I'd have a crack at Lune
are you me?
Why doesn't this game tell me what to think?
It's purposefully left up to you to interpret.
play the piano
Lune is objectively more attractive but I liked Sciel’s personality more
Pat's a brainlet and is a good representation of every single Maellenigger.
You think they will unlock Gustave’s skill tree in the DLC?
Renoir recruits pAlicia, Gustave and Sophie to stop Alicia and get her out of the canvas
Mid-DLC reveals that Gustave is The Little Boy repainted, and Sophie is Clea
Complete DLC by separating Maelle from Alicia by putting Maelle's essence into pAlicia
So what monstrosity did I commit?
Gustave is actually Renoir. Alone painted Gustave with Renoir’s likeness when he was young and due to her grief she sorta gave him IRL Verso’s personality.
Verso is gay little bitch who stabbed his girlfriend because of daddy issues and now wants to kill everybody because hes too tired or something idk
play the fucking piano
His reasoning is incredibly based. Fuck ALL the painters and fuck Verso.
Shut up you brat!
Would be an awesome twist.
Honestly, If they played it straight with Maelle not having Alicia's Memories, and just accessing Alicia's powers through willpower, It would've changed my mind with the choice.
Gustave full tree, pAlicia tree, Clea. That's all we want.
Expedition 0 could be cool but we already know all that happens there.
Thoughts on this fella?
Unironically harder than any Fromsoft boss. If you don't use a cheese build you literally have to perfect parry, with a tighter window than From games, dozens of attacks and you can't even rez if you make a mistake because he spends a microturn permanently deleting party members if they die. This dude is basically a rhythm game demanding 100% accuracy.
I think it would be a fun way to interject or include Gustave is the larger plot. This way it makes sense why Maelle loved him. He was both Verdo and Renoir.
I want expedition 0
We know what happens but it will be kino and they can re-use assets to make it quick
I want the final boss to be renoir vs simon but you switch perspectives as you fight
wtf do you guys mean when you keep saying golden route? did I miss something in the game?
Not after I’m done with her, if you know what I mean *wink*
We want a happy ending
look at Verso still pretending he gives a fuck about her
Not even Simon was chad enough for real Clea
Yes.
real Clea is a sociopath and I wouldn't wish her on my worst enemy
A third, golden ending (A Life to Dream, Une Vie a Rever) is heavily implied. But is right, it's just something for us to dream of.
Happy ending for Gustave and Palicia
why does only PAlicia and repainted Clea have the weird fucking eyes? Renoir and Verso have normal eyes.
Gustave never dying so he can stop Verso from wanting to kill everyone, pAlicia from wanting to kill herself, and rAlicia from huffing paint
Why does Alicia/Maelle hair turn white ?
Very bright young man
pAlicia from wanting to kill herself
probably only because she's stuck with Worst Verso as a brother. Gustave would never.
What do you mean? All Dessendres and Sophie have that shade of blue.
Second best of Verso's creations
wheewhoowheewhoo
Why you think Maelle wanted to avenge Gustave ? She has the superior older brother
What if frogs add Golden Route but it is even more bittersweet?
the white pupil shit
That’s actually pretty good
Huggable
real verso sacrifices himself to save his sister
painted verso murders his gf because daddy said so
will sacrifice an entire world because daddy says so
Aline must have viewed Verso as a total bitch
I didn’t believe it when he died, because I assumed he was Renoir and had plot armor
Play.
Why did you think he was Renoir ?
I thought the masked right had saved him because she was obviously Maelle from the future.
First time meeting Esquie
He immediately makes fun of Sciel for trying to kill herself
Based
Aline painted Gustave in young Renoirs likeness and gave his Verso’s personality
Not a bad idea
he wants a true ending for something that is meant to be milked and when the story is ambiguous 24/7
I thought the same, game has a little samefag syndrome and I thought it was doing some kind of parallel universe shit.
*sameface, not samefag jej
I had Gustave's slick Lumiere suit on and I thought pRenoir was future gustave or some shit because he kept showing up in black and white and I thought he was wearing Gustave's clothes. Then he fucking died.
why the fuck did he give it back to her
Doesn’t help that irl Verso sorta looked like Gustave
"hold on to each other"
"grief blinds us"
"FAMILY!!!"
anon: why dont you say anything?!? spoon feed meeeeeeeee
Thats all we want
I kinda want an Expedition 60 playthrough desu
every character is just armstong lmao
just make the movie about them instead. The final swim to Lumiere will be more of a tearjerker than the ending of Titanic
And his sister
Just like wrote. The movie should be about it them.

You are a gay nigger
He wouldnt wanna play as maximum overbuff motherfuckers gallavanting across the continent in the nude, mogging on everyone through sheer strength alone
their clothes gommage as they stride through the barrier
Neat
Because Golden Ending fags are retarded and understood nothing from the story. They decided the Maellenigger group wasn't retarded enough for them so now they cope with their fake ending that doesn't exist with theories that don't make sense to anybody with an IQ above 90
Why does Clea only have one single outfit? Her family is rich, do they just not care about her?
I wanna see naked muscle man DLC xddd
NOOOO STOP CALLING ME A FAGGOT REDDITOR!!!
Please understand, Clea is autistic
Man, imagine hating fun so much that you have to try and bring everyone down
It had to be a Versonybro, thinking his childish depression metaphor is in anyway deep or meaningful and makes him intelligent
reddit is a more fun and welcoming place to talk about your faggot fetishes, go there
Soon
None of this is "saying something".
She doesn’t care
Renoir literally did nothing wrong and you're a niggerfaggot if you picked the Maelle ending.
After you, good sir
Tips his hat
Because Golden Ending fags are retarded and understood nothing from the story.
The game wants you to think about it. It's why Alicia's letter is called "Une vie à rêver" to line up with the endings "Une vie à t'aimer" and "Une vie à peindre". All three have songs with the same title, all 11 minutes, when added together make 33 minutes. With those two alone it's just 22 minutes, not the full 33.
I'm not saying the ending is going to be a thing, as the name suggests it may only ever be a dream, but they want you to think about it. It seems like you're the one who doesn't understand that
Why doesn’t Maelle just grow up?
If you don't think the Golden Ending will be a thing you're not one of the double digit IQ retards I was talking about.
I obviously thought about the Golden Ending, otherwise I wouldn't be talking about it. I just came to the obvious conclusion that it would never work
Once I decided the girl was definitely Maelle, it followed that the guy was probably Gustave. Also saw some theorizing here and assumed it was a legitimate spoiler
She wouldn't lend a hand.
I kinda wish it would have been
you are a gay nigger

fucking /thread
I really fucking hate how they had him one-shot a gigantic Bourgeon and then laugh it off like "Oh, if only he wasn't so lazy, he could do that all the time," and then tried to pretend he was helpless to save Gustave twenty minutes later. Made me dislike him as a concept for a while, but I eventually got over it since they never showed him doing anything but ferry you around after that, making it easier to accept that that's the only way he can help. But they really should have gone back and cut out that scene. Or at least change it so the Bourgeon swats him away but Esquie's totally fine afterwards. At least that wouldn't give the impression that he could take out the Axons if he felt like it.
He's a childhood superhero. You're too retarded to understand the concept of his purity as a character because he was created by a child.
actual moron
what was his problem?
The retarded posts always have something to do with Gustave. Impressive.
he misses his best friend who hasn't visited for centuries
He's the Korin to Esquie's Yajirobe
I'm 99% sure he was painted by Clea to troll Verso when they were kids.
why is clea such an asshole to alicia?
cunny withrawals
We've moved on to Nightreign now. Please let this FOTM game die quietly. Polite sage.
It seems like she genuinely liked him and he was probably just her version of Esquie. Now the Lampmaster, she absolutely painted him to scare the shit out of Verso.
We'll be waiting for you next week when Nightreign is failing to hit 20k player peaks
you motherfuckers don't understand grief and i doubt you'll ever will
Clea visited and even met Esquire THREE TIMES since this crisis started and not once visited him
She even looks like Shart. Is the VA gonna be typecast into females who end up being super main characters that invalidate most of the other cast?
there shouldn't even be an ending choice, there should just be the verso ending
I hope so, I love her voice
It's good that there is choice because now I know who is fucking retarded.
hopefully, she has a very rapeable voice so I like her work
The ending choice is possibly the best decision the writers made. Both endings are incredibly sad and thought provoking in their own right. I'm pretty sure like 60% of discussion of this game on Anon Babble so far has been about the ending alone.
What does that have to do with the objective reality of the events of the game?
You're not the only one who's lost a loved one, shitposter-kun.
Divisive choices always bring discussion, even if they aren't good. I remember Three Houses threads.
3Hfags are just retarded weebs, the two choices in this game are actually good and carefully grounded in the human experience rather than superficial political intrigue filtered through the myopic lens of one dimensional anime characters. Also you don't have to replay the entire game to experience different endings which is a plus.
You'd know either way because there would be threads crying about justice for Maelle rather than defense of her ending
The decision serves no real purpose as the Maelle end is clearly the bad end unless you're on something. People would still talk about the game nonstop in this fashion if there was only the Verso end, because it is just FFT:A.
The decision serves no real purpose as the Maelle end is clearly the bad end unless you're on something. People would still talk about the game nonstop in this fashion if there was only the Verso end, because it is just FFT:A.
The ending is an ethical dilemma, it doesn't matter how much they want to favour one ending, they still aren't the arbiters of what is ethically correct or not.
No one's talking about Verso's ending, it's the boring one. Maelle's ending is the one that gets people talking.
If there was no choice, people would get in arguments about how you should have been able to side with Maelle. Devs just got ahead of it and gave them the option. Hell we're better off this way because at least now there's an actual concrete consequence to siding with Maelle, whereas if there was no option then Maellefags would just headcanon the most perfectest bestest ending and there would be no argument against it since it isn't canon.
MALEL = contrarian therefore controversial
Am I the only one who genuinely struggled with which ending to choose? I can't remember the last time an RPG gave me a choice with such drastic consequences. In the end I chose to erase the canvas. If it's with Painted Verso wanted after 77 years, it is what the real Verso would have wanted. It broke me.
he NEEDS rock
The ending is an ethical dilemma
If you're on something
No it isn't
people would get in arguments about how you should have been able to side with Maelle
Yes, that is literally what I said in my post and instead you get threads like this one begging for an ending even alternate to the 2 that exist, showing there's no way to "get ahead" of anything
She’s sick of all their shit
For a second it looked like Renoir is trying to cop a feel on Maelle's chest.
As soon as Maelle hit Renoir with her "I can leave the painting any time dad don't worry" lie, I knew I would side with him if I got the chance. The ending still broke my heart though. I briefly reconsidered by choice despite how certain I was, then loaded to check out the other ending and, nah, I was right the first time.
verso ending was pretty understandably right, but i picked maelle's so i can canonically continie looking at lune's feet. simple as.
Yeah, had to leave the game and go do something else while thinking about the options.
Verso's ending, it's the boring one. Maelle's ending is the one that gets people talking.
Meanwhile, in reality:
Maellefags: I HATE VERSO HE MUST SUFFER THUS MAELLE ENDING IS RIGHT
Maelle's in the canon ending, Verso gets to play the piano and everyone is happy.
I was already on Renoir's side once I learned what was really going on. Such a great character. You could really tell it hurt him even though it had to be done.
shows up as a replacement for the "main" protagonist
ends up being the best character in the entire cast
How did he do it?
Verso is a huge douchebag and a borderline psycopath if you couldn't tell
hot + great voice and fun dialogue
I chose the Verso ending because I'm not a bugman, but honestly fuck him.
"Oh hey it's not-Gustave" the moment I first see him
"Turn based DMC style system is pure ludo" as I use him in combat
crying while he cradles maelle/alicia in his ending
I'm just a sucker for sad sibling shit. Verso had a hard life.
Fantastic character. Andy Serkis killed it. Once I saw Aline dying outside the canvas, I knew Renoir literally did nothing wrong. Even Aline's painted version of her husband had the same convictions.
Unfortunately someone has to play piano. Might as well be Verso. I hear he loves it
You're a psycho if the suffering of your sister and mother torments you
I don't think so
The director is such a fuckin weeb that im pretty sure there will be a true ending eventually
The Gustave harem ending is the true ending.
>crying while he cradles maelle/alicia in his ending
Unironically had some tears during that part, the performances from both voice actors was just so fucking good, and the soundtrack man. It broke me.
The entire ending sequences becomes kino the second Maelle slashes at the two Versos and a song straight out of a western duel starts to play
the fucking arena you fight in is absurdly cool looking too
A lot of voice acting in vidya feels so much like it's just people recording shit in their home studio with very little direction or connection to their fellow actors and it takes me out of it. I'm not sure if that's true here too, but it felt like Maelle and Verso's VAs were in a booth together for that scene at least. Genuinely felt like I was watching a movie in that moment. The god tier mocap helped the illusion along too, but yeah, insane performances from those two.
verso begging for it all to be over
I don't know how anyone could have watched that and thought they made the correct choice
I will play the piano
I will live in this deformed cripple body
Golden Ending: Achieved
So time passes more quickly inside the painting right?
great direction/composition
great mocap
great VA performance
It really was something special.
random basedjak dies
reddit screams:
KINOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
I think it's the more fitting choice. What we witness in that moment is Verso's lies and deceptions catching up to him.
is there a painted version of the family dog?
This game is actual art, ironically enough. It has quantifiable soul
Noco and Monoco.
wha?
Ignores his sister's pleading to find a better solution with Maelle
Puts a charismatic front to have people like him
Lies, kills and manipulates people to get what he wants
Gets close to other only to stab them in the back when they serve their purpose
Nah, Verso sucks
Dlc will be more about Clea's revenge war on the writers.
Why do you think Monoco keeps saying "owowow" and says he feels like he's always known him
aliciafags say the story shouldn't be all about verso
their ending choice is all about verso
kek
I get what you're saying but was this ever said anywhere? I haven't done all the optional stuff yet.
They are the family dog's names
When Alicia has the flashback in the manor, you can run around and find little clues, such as the one about the dogs.
escapism is bad, you have to live, life is wonderful just touch grass
but also
OH MY GOD I WANT TO DIE KILL ME YOU BITCH KILL ME KILL ME KILL ME NOOO NOT THE PIANOOOOO!
No they've actually been stuck in the painting for 100 years
How does time work in the Canvas?
I think that's what he means, 100 years in the painting is apparently just a few days or weeks in real life. The manor flashback says it's expedition year 49 or 47 I think, and the fire that killed Verso was recent enough that there's still visible damage and repairs being made
When you play as Alicia in the Manor you can find the family dogs in front of the fire in the doggy basket, bigger one called Monoco, smaller one called Noco.
god dammit I didn't know you could explore more of the manor as Alicia
This game man. Everything is so beautifully thought out
It’s clear the fight is meant to have a very high skill ceiling but with many options to get around it. I was enjoying the challenge but desu I was not enjoying spending 10 minutes getting back into P2 just to fuck up on attack 5 of a 9-attack chain slice and get deleted and basically have to restart. I ended up stunlocking and Gommaging through P3. Fun fight nonetheless and an enjoyable challenge that I’ll get around to
Are party windows for Simon smaller in Expert?
the golden path is literally just "If only Gustave were here"
Painted by Mecklinger
the anti verso fag in these threads is annoying af
Never caught that. That’s crazy
Parry windows are shorter across the board, they are tied to difficulty, not to enemies.
So yes, they are also shorter for painted Gael clone
Expeditioner and Expert modes have the same dodge and parry windows, only Story mode has (slightly) larger windows
What kind of question is this, Gustave is barely in the game and the entire plot basically revolves around Verso and his effect on the rest of his family, so yeah.
Hanz Zimmer Interstellar bass riser as Verso reaches out to BoyVerso—
Verso doesn't deserve a threesome.
I wish Gustave had more time to be an actual character. By the end of the game I barely remembered him except that he had a tard rage and went full "FUCK THE EXPEDITION" once things started going wrong.
Wtf is this Endless Tower? They cannot be serious with floor 11. Dualliste, Mask Keeper AND Chromatic Moisonneuse at the same time is not ok.
All three of those are really easy to get perfect parry combos on or at least easily dodge, the tower has some random difficulty spikes but overall wasn't as bad as expected. I don't remember all of them but I'm pretty sure the worst was the one that had the chromatic aberration in it along with two other things
Just parry lil bro
Some anon's analysis:
If you look at Noco's basket, I believe it says "Noco the third". This means the family would get new dogs and give them the same name. This is the basis for gestral ressurection, and why kid Verso made that when they "come back to life" they aren't really the same. Noco died? Soon there's a new Noco, but he's not really the previous Noco.
In the outside world, Noco the First was probably an older dog that the family had, then they got Monoco (this is why painted Monoco had a mentor named Noco), then Noco I died and they got Noco II.
Nvm, beat it. These late floors really punish you with timings. These bosses did really low dmg in main story compared to here.
Yeah everything in the tower is just souped up versions of shit you've fought elsewhere. If you're on expert, they're all just gonna one shot you. Stack shields or nail your parries/dodges, or I guess cheese everything with OTK setups.
Go hug your mother.
i gommaged that mask keeper asap
Why are some letters in bold font?
I picked Maelle cause I didn't like Verso and wanted him to suffer. I enjoyed his tortured expression at the end very much.
"verso is a sociopath" posters be like:
What goes around comes around
"You're okay"
Same final words to Alicia as rVerso's
i have no idea if this is good or not
So if we are getting DLC, is that going to be about Clea?
I don't want a dlc set inside this same painting. There's enough extended lore to do something else.
All of the gameplay only makes sense in this canvas. It'd be weird to see another type of canvas that feels the same to be in. I hope they just move on from this story and make a totally new game. This feels complete.
I genuinely wonder what the other family member's canvases look like. Are they as detailed and alive as verso's? Also if the painters have the power to create worlds by painting I wonder what the fuck the writers can do.
gustave=renoir cuz they look dah same!!
Literally everyone thought that.
how does it feel have the most predictable basic bitch midwit intuition ever?
I wonder what the fuck the writers can do.
*Some funny joke about thier writting being fire*
But seriously, they probably can do the same but with the writting.
next game is gonna be about the painters vs the ai prompters
screencap this
I wonder what the fuck the writers can do.
Kill p*inters. Gas the p*inters art war now
So what's exactly was a fracture? The moment when Renoir entered or the moment when Clea entered?
Aline.
It was when Renoir entered and had a cataclysmic battle with Aline
It was when Renoir tried to erase everything and Aline partially stopped him. Clea just enslaved her painted self to mass produce nevrons to leech chroma away from Aline, and also cracked the painted pussywhip to make Simon kill Axon Clea.
Why did she kill Renoir's soldier anyway? This is what I don't understand about Axons. Why did they take Aline's side eventually?
Clea finds the painted family "obscene" and seems to be particular offended by renditions of herself. I don't think they took Aline's side, Renoir just painted them to be representatives of his family. They probably served the same purpose as the other nevrons, humans killed by them had their chroma sent to Renoir or at least not back to Aline. He was also down in the drafts for a long fuggin' time.
The issue I have with the ending is that it's simply incorrectly written. The two endings are both good and well-written if regarded in a vacuum, but the problem is that there's only two of them, and specifically, those two.
The entire game was foreshadowing and setting up a third choice, a compromise. Lune warning against false dichotomies, Clea saying Alicia is better than ending up as her mother or succumbing to her father's control, painted Alicia saying the same and finishing with a "your mother paints life while your father death, what will YOU paint?"
The writing screams for a true ending, maybe more difficult to obtain, but one that is the payoff to all this buildup. Rather than Alicia either repeating the same mistake as her mother, or having her choice completely taken away and made for her by someone else, she should've learned lessons from her life as Maelle, all the people she met, and the childhood playground she shared with her brother. Hell, as Maelle, she's no stranger to grief and tragedy. It should've meant something.
The implications of the endings as we got them is that there are no compromises in real life, no healthy ways to engage with fiction as a relief from grief. Reading fantasy books to cope will kill you unless your books are forcibly taken from you.
Best reasonable guess? 1 painted year = 1 real day
things could've been different!
Yeah but they weren't, pretty sad huh.
what will YOU paint?
If you pick Verso's ending, Alicia might someday find out.
The writing screams for a true ending,
No it doesn't, you just can't handle not getting a happy happy me feel good ending. You want Alicia to be a different person. She's not. When Alicia takes control, Maelle is gone. We see her fade with the rest of the group.
The implications of the endings as we got them is that there are no compromises in real life, no healthy ways to engage with fiction as a relief from grief. Reading fantasy books to cope will kill you unless your books are forcibly taken from you.
Nope, the statement is that you can lose your mind if have the magical painting powers that exist in our setting and decide to wallow in a canvas. Not everything has to be allegory.
Golden Ending dlc coming soon bro
The Expedition is removed from the canvas
the first time
E33 DLC is Expedition Zero
final boss is Simon vs Renoir
Objective: survive
I can't watch this scene now without imagining Verso watching from a bush somewhere like pic rel
What's the best place to grind 99?
If you pick Verso's ending, Alicia might someday find out.
Wrong. Alicia was speaking in reference to the two extremes of Aline and Renoir.
When Alicia takes control, Maelle is wrong.
Super wrong. She is literally both Alicia AND Maelle.
Not everything is a metaphor
It clearly is in this game.
Do it, faggot...
renoir's drafts right by the entrance to the abyss. 3 spawns that total 5 milly, and you can just respawn em at the flag
I just killed him with stendhal and gommage
Never, but I admire your autism
The merchant in renoir’s drafts
She is literally both Alicia AND Maelle
Meanwhile, what the game actually shows us...
It clearly is in this game
The beauty of it is that it is not. It's just a story, it's not trying to tell you something, it's allowing you to feel attached to characters, see their struggles, and interpret what it meant to you.
teaching feeling mod when
How does her hair do that?
Maybe she's born with it.
She is literally both Alicia AND Maelle.
Maelle is Alicia. But Alicia isn't Maelle.
Alicia is the dominant persona. She's kinda override Maelle after she regains her memories
she should have kept her red hair instead of it turning into white like a chuuni
or at lease give us an option
The whole game is an allegory for circumcision and the struggle to keep your foreskin away from your jewish father
Maelle = Mohel think about it.
The power of Unreal Engine 5
At last I truly see.
How some childhood painting 'verso's only canvas'? Did the guy not paint at all? he was 26. Would be one thing if the fire took all his other canvases I guess. I wonder if they try to twist his larger love for music as him trying to be a Musician over a Painter, assuming Musicians even exist in the world. They're not mentioned at all but the Troubadour kind of vaguely hints it.
How some childhood painting
not letting that slide. That said it's not the only thing he ever painted but it is the only remaining canvas with a piece of his soul. Not everything they paint is a magical portal to another world and not all of them are kept around for decades after they're painted.
All of the other games are set in Verso's other canvases
Verso is this Franchise's Cid
This means the family would get new dogs and give them the same name. This is the basis for gestral ressurection
My family didn't do that exactly but my first dog was a husky mutt with one blue eye and one brown eye, and my dad got two more dogs after she died that were also husky mutts with one blue eye and one brown eye. That kind of thing is incredibly relatable
I like
Emmett Brown's Naming scheme.
Verso asks him if he ever misses the real Verso
he goes completely quiet for the first time in the game since he's not allowed to express grief per his painting
I feel like that works better for cats, since they don't listen as well as dogs do. A dog needs to have a two or three syllably name that be used as a singsong call
Verso says it himself. He didn't enjoy painting, he was much more interested in music.
White hair is better. It represents her character progression and power ups.
White hair is also sexier than red.
thanks, only have 3 achievements left, simon, 99 and journals. i think i've done everything else already and i'm still at 92, guess i gotta get to grindan...
He was definitely feeling whoo.
why is this in the game?
exploring the manor with the full party
vome across the piano
everyone just plays random notes when you interact with it
switch to Verso
he beautifully plays his own theme and you can rhythmically time it to sound like an actual OST track
shes in
HOLY SHIT BROS
I noticed this before I learned Verso could play piano and it was so cool when that was revealed
The game also says "Life forces cruel choices". That's how it be on this birth of an earth (canvas)
The Clea fight is ridiculous. First half? Learn the parries and break her, whatever. I can’t imagine ever getting past the second, unless I’m just not doing enough damage
I love this game man, it has so many little details like that
she has a second half? even when i replayed it she didn't seem to do anything except summon the nevron combos and heal herself
One ending has vibrant colours, cheerful music, shows a family getting over their grief together, and is optimistic and hopeful
Other ending is set to black and white, has a jumpscare, and literally has horror / scare chords playing
I think the message is very clear. No resolution is because Anon Babble are contrarians. If you go outside of this website everyone unanimously considers one ending better than the other.
Come on man she's a worthless cunt. You're better than that.
Yet he will get it like he gets everything, because he is the game lead's self insert.
Not just that, but then he has the audacity to be upset when Maelle gommages her. What the fuck did he think was going to happen if he convinced Alicia (real) to destroy the canvas? Verso’s such a cunt, made worse by discovering his journal and finding out he was fully on Painted Renoir’s side before.
They have fallen for bait.
Man, what a game, just finished it and I can't stop thinking about it.
Also this battle track is stuck in my head
Most people would agree, it's why she never gets really mad at verso for the shit he pulls.
I mean the second set of nevron waves at around 50% health. One player swallowed immediately, each turn now requiring like ten parries, freezing, etc
Delightfully, you are wrong.
if he convinced Alicia (real) to destroy the canvas?
He... never wanted to do it UNTIL the very end.
Otherwise it's just murdering the other humans so it'd be pAlicia and the gestrals, pretty comfy life.
heck yes the family of unaccountable demiurges got to get away with it so wholesome my themes!
nah
Uh huh.
he's back
you almost missed a thread
youtube.com
You going to play some NG+ ?
They get away with it in either ending. The only casualty is Alicia in her ending, although if you hate her I guess that's a good thing.
I mean everybody thinks there is another way and only Renoir and Verso understand what needs to be done
At the end of the day the reason why Verso lies and manipulates so much id because he knows everyone always try to find another solution
b-but muh golden ending
i have no idea HOW it could've happened but it totally could have
If you go outside this website “everyone” loves Kai Cenat and other livestreamers. Why don’t you? You want your views to align with everyone, don’t you?
Nah, I think I'm gonna just finish postgame for the platinum then put it down until DLC.
This is the second JRPG I've ever bothered to go for the Plat (other one was DQ11).
If you go outside of this website everyone unanimously considers one ending better than the other
Vast majority of people are retarded. Most of them didn't even play the game and just watch streams and 90% of streamers actually believe Canvas world is fake. And those who played either missed or didn't pay attention to optional interactions.
people say there can be another way
it's always fanfiction and needs to rewrite Alicia SEVERELY for it to work
People don't realize Alicia's personality is the reason the ending is what it is.
It helps that there are no really grindy or difficult achievements in this game.
Golden ending is nothing but weeb delusions.
If this game ever gets dlc with another ending it’s going to be even more tragic
TRVTHNVKE
Verso is canon. The sequel will have Alicia as an older mentor for the new MC.
What did Versoschizo mean by this
dlc brings back gustave for a "golden ending"
just suicides in front of her instead so she leaves
Caused an instant melty
Versochads are so based.
what needs to be done
Because Renoir doesn’t give a shit about anything other than his living family, and Verso wants to kill himself. Not exactly unbiased sources.
Oh shit is DLC confirmed?
DLC is released
gustave lives, partners with painted alicia
gustave develops hyperlumina tech
they're going to force all the painters out
clea has to come in
just as the final battle is about to take place, painters burn the canvas in the real world, everyone perishes
Imagine
90% of the others mean that I'm THE ONLY Genius here
Besides exposing that you crave the label of being "SMART", what does it show us?
They said they were planning now considering its success.
People really want stuff with Clea and the writers but I feel it'll be focused on expedition 0/verso's past (I want to see the mindbreak he got)
What a baffling selection of outfits and hairstyles
Everyone plays their own theme, though I can't comment on whether or not Verso plays his more skillfully, I'd have to boot the game to check.
Verso is just who Versoposters believe they could have been if their lives were different, right down to being a charismatic, psychopathic turncoat willing to commit omnicide out of selfishness.
I don't know how anyone could have watched that and thought they made the correct choice
By doing side content and understanding that Verso is a lying, treacherous cunt?
thought the voice acting was phenomenal
check the credits
Charlie Cox, Andy Serkis, Shadowheart, Clive
wtf, wasn't this an indie game?
Everyone but verso sucks at it.
sexier than red.
it's a difference but not in superiority
He clearly gives a shit about the last sliver of his only son’s soul
His true genetic line is basically severed too, as women don’t carry the guaranteed dna from father, it’s only from father to son and mother to daughter, daughters line in time is going to completely lose fathers dna
Indie has to be dirt poor.
Stop your delusions.

It's a lot cheaper when they don't do the mocap.
They have like 3 mocap actors.
Verso and Marche
Escapism BUSTERS.
as women don’t carry the guaranteed dna from father
what
But Verso tells Alicia to fuck off in another canvas and that she can be Maelle for her whole life, as long as he gets to die first?
He's an eacapismGOD
Nah, he knows exactly why she's the way she is with his canvas.
His true genetic line is basically severed too, as women don’t carry the guaranteed dna from father, it’s only from father to son and mother to daughter
What the fuck are you talking about? What "true genetic line"?
Painted Me + Baguette disagrees.
Painted Me makes her look like a dork
The post clearly conveys the message that most "people outside of Anon Babble" are operating on wrong assumptions thus appeal to majority is idiotic.
The real question is what made you so upset?
Whoops wrong one. Also Pure is almost as good, both + baguette compete for the best look in the game. French bob gets honorable mention.
I swear, the next game will have literal Lumierian look-a-likes in IRL france . I'd laugh hard if They set a prequel of sorts with Young Renoir and Young Aline, and they look like Gustave and Maelle.
NTA but the fact that you replied to obvious bait shitpost tells me you are the one who's seething kek.
how wrong can you be?

are the painted Lumerians supposed to be based on people in the real world? the saddest part of the clearly superior Verso ending is losing Lune and Sciel.
Not all of them.
lol, why did he say that? stendahl isn't even as high dmg as Burning Canvas with burn setup from Verso
First gen for sure. Aline just reused people she knew and implanted some memories for her fantasy to run.
instantly proves me right again
Stop embarrassing yourself.
I wish we had sophie instead of lune
one turn 1 billion damage
Stendahl was actually bugged and doing more damage than it was intended to. Same with maelle's gestral sword, it was doubling all damage instead of just burn damage.

Child: ~50% of your DNA
Grandchild: ~25%
Great-grandchild: ~12.5%
Great-great-grandchild: ~6.25%
But these are averages. DNA is inherited in chunks, and due to random recombination, the actual percentage can vary.
As you go further:
The chance of any particular segment of your DNA making it to a descendant decreases.
Eventually, for some distant descendant, it’s very possible they won’t inherit any of your DNA.
2. The Long-Term View: Genetic Drift & Recombination
Over generations:
Each person passes on only half their DNA.
Recombination reshuffles DNA, and over time, some ancestors’ DNA drops out entirely.
This is called genetic drift in a genealogical context.
So:
You are an ancestor to future generations genealogically, but not necessarily genetically.
3. What the Math Says
By about:
7–10 generations in, the odds that a particular ancestor has contributed no detectable DNA to you are non-negligible.
After ~10 generations (about 250–300 years), a person could have over 1,000 unique ancestors — but only carry DNA from a fraction of them.
1. Y Chromosome (Father Son Line)
The Y chromosome is passed only from father to son.
It is passed down mostly unchanged, except for occasional mutations.
So if you’re male, and your son has a son, and so on... your Y chromosome gets passed down intact.
This means: a direct male-line descendant (your patrilineal line) will carry your Y chromosome, possibly for many generations — as long as the male line is unbroken.
Yes, this guarantees that a fragment of your DNA (the Y chromosome) survives — but only in sons of sons.
If a son-son line remains unbroken, then yes, your Y chromosome (if you're male) will persist, making a small piece of your DNA effectively immortal, barring extinction of the line

More like a DMC boss. The director even has a YT channel where he has completely mastered the series.
glock saint verso
You can tell he loves his REAL mc.
Most normal Anon Babble user
renoir theme is literally Victor Borba
how can one game be this kino?
i'ts because last minute the creators realized that play testers were sexually infatuated with a child (maelle), so they aged her up to 16 (originally 12) and made her cartoonishly evil
kills gustave
fucks his harem
outplays all of his friends
destroys the canvas
has a big dick
gets what he wants
wins
is liked by his creator
Jesus Verso can't stop winning
you are not doing 1 billion damage without some wacky damage multiplier stacking which has more to do with the dmg stacking more-so than stendahl
Was the braless loose blouse truly necessary?
No, stendahl being bugged and medallum being bugged is what allowed you to do it.
It's specifically those two.
It was integral to our vision of the game.
stendahl and medallum being bugged
what was bugged about it? i was playing bg3 so i didn't play e33 until after everything was already patched
She's french dude.
Also a feminist I'd guess.
she needs maximum mobility for her fencing style
It was Kepler decision to go with a big cast for the english version, and they paid for it. guess they believed in the game a lot
call of duty verso build
KEK
close, but not quite.
in france its normal for children to walk around nude until they are adults
i went to a beach in france once and everyone was naked
Everyone in the canvas is a real person
Maelle is not a child
Yes, and they have to go.
she's under 21
The second X chromosome in a female is from her father, retard
When you do all the optional content, you one shot the final boss and you're like... "that's kinda cool".
I'd rather two shot him.
But he [Renoir] has two phases.
I just love how much this dude knows about the game off the top of his head. A director that actually plays the fucking game his team is making, imagine that in today's gaming industry.
Verso was right, the canvas has to be destroyed
But Verso in the painting is just another Dessendre creation, anon. He's not real either by your logic, so why should we listen to him?
everyone thought Verso was related to Gustave
glad i'm not the only one with face blindness
You can tell he ACTUALL enjoys playing it and when the interviewers get butthurt about Maelle's ending he just start laughing and goes
I love that you get mad
Imagine being stuck at ubi when you can actually release stuff like this.
Why?
"Were they designed similarly?"
Immediate hard "No." like he's sick of being asked
kek they shut that the fuck down
Verso was right, the canvas has to be destroyed
Why did you make up and quote text that wasn't in any of the posts in the chain you replied to? Have maellefags finally gone full-blown schizophrenic?
All painters go white when they're in the painting. Verso's hair was a lying piece of shit when he said his hair went gray after the shattering, the truth is he always had gray hair, as did painted Renoir, Clea, and Alicia. Even Aline has noticeably lighter hair in the one segment where she re-enters the painting and it's black and white. Compare Renoir in the real world (brown hair but graying on the sides) to Renoir in the painting or painted Renoir (Gray hair). The implication is that Aline KNEW she was in a canvas the whole time and wasn't completely deluded. She was playing house to grieve in her own way, much the same way that Alicia said she wanted to live a second life with Verso that they missed. Renoir didn't trust Aline enough, got spooked, and then rushed into the canvas to yank her out. All the thrashing about in the real world was caused by the strain of have a painter tug of war for decades in the canvas. Renoir deluded himself that he was doing the right thing by peeking into the real world while under the monument and seeing his wife exerting herself while fighting him. He either didn't misunderstood or willfully ignored his role in her suffering.
I legit thought Verso was just future Gustave for a second in that moment, thought it was some goofy time travel shit. They don't look identical but they're similar
i thought it was obvious that gustave is the part of verso's soul that actually still loves maelle
the truth is he always had gray hair,
Nah, Aline made him PERFECT.
Verso's hair was a lying piece of shit when he said his hair went gray
You're so angry at Verso that you're imagining his HAIR lying to you?
much the same way that Alicia said she wanted to live a second life with Verso that they missed.
But that wasn't an option since Verso is dead and painted Verso isn't Verso.
Everything would've been fine if Renoir hadn't-
Headcanon.
Naw man I'm just drunk and not articulating myself well, sacre bleur/putain de merde or whatever frogs say
gustave is the part of verso's soul that actually still loves maelle
This is straight headcanon. Gustave has literally nothing to do with Verso. He was just another Expeditioner out of the 100s that already existed.
At first I thought Renoir was future gustave from that one cutscene and that Maelle would become the paintress.
Based anon, what a life.
it sounds like you have a bit of a "wheewhoowheewhoo" problem
inb4 "No the devs are wrong they're totally linked"
The fathers X comes from his own mother, and that’s one single generation you absolute retard, that X then gets recombined, her offspring will no longer inherit that “father’s” X, it will be randomly reshuffled version
Why didn't Aline just repaint Gustave?
Not enough chroma
Aline made painted versions of her family as if they were in the painting. She painted everyone acurately, including Alicia and her husband who was doting on her. If she truly hated Alicia she wouldn't have painted her at all. The reason Painted Alicia is black and white is the same reason Painted Clea is black and white. Clea painted over them in a rage because she's still resentful over Verso's death.
This reminds me, I don't remember hearing a single "sacre bleu" in-game.
You're so angry at Verso that you're imagining his HAIR lying to you?
Verso dyed his hair so he could get closer to expeditioners to lie to them. He lied to Sciel about the color of his hair to endear himself to her while being evasive. It's impressive how manipulative he is, the lies flow easily like an open tap.
There isn't, but there are a lot of "putain"s and "merde"s, as well as a lot of english fucks and shits
Verso probably had to dye his hair because Renoir came into the canvas, that caused every other problem, too, after all.
Clea painted over pAlicia
what the fuck are you talking about
Renoir legitimately took Aline out of the canvas a few times, considering they do say
she will always find it
because she's done it before. Aline coming back to the canvas is the root of the issue.
If she truly hated Alicia she wouldn't have painted her at all.
I played through NG+ and It struck me as odd that Aline was arguing with Renoir at the end of chapter 1 that Alicia needs to leave and not be part of their spat. She was worried about Alicia, which wouldn't make sense if she hated her. You might be onto something.
So why could Verso walk through the canvas anyway? He's just a painting.
Aline doesn't *hate* Alicia, in her perfect fantasy the fire still happened but only affected her which shows that she blames her, but she doesn't actually hate her.
Everything else is because she's kind of insane.
Follow the breadcrumbs. Only Clea is skilled enough to paint over other peoples creations, Alicia says so.
Clea doesn't want a chad.
He got to the core of the canvas, not the real world, and only Aline's "gift" allows him to stay there.
but only affected her which shows that she blames her
Or she doesn't blame her and simply accepts that Alicia is burned now. A burned Alicia would be a constant reminder that the fire happened. Aline was grieving, not deluded.
What is Alicia/Maelle's personality to you? Nothing in acts 1-2-3 showed her weird dictator turn. In fact she showed mercy to pAlicia and allowed her to die, lol. You can give some weird uncharitable interpretation that she doesn't consider Alicia real or something, but her forcing Verso to live is quite an exteme turn.
I mean, she could have just made herself a perfect family, no need to add the fire.
I mean, she could have just made herself a perfect family, no need to add the fire.
Yeah, but she didn't. She didn't want a perfect family, she wanted a whole family, and that includes Verso in all his shitass glory.
Nothing in acts 1-2
Not Alicia
3
As a matter of fact, she's kind of a cunt, when she speaks to renoir it's like a spoiled kid not getting what she wants.
Also her obsession with Verso is really severe, their conversation about Gustave shows how detached she is about canvas people
oh you killed him, ok, can always bring him back I don't really care
But the biggest red flag is specifically requesting to be called Maelle and how she calls fake verso her brother.
The thing is that only when she's confronted with her own bullshit that her real self comes through, and she's an extremely selfish teenager who wants things HER way.
that was sick, is there any translation for the rest of it? youtube.com
It's called a "jumpscare" by the way, not a "scarejump"
kek based director. this frog is one of the good ones
Bro went to nudist beach and didn't realise it.
Many such cases, sad
Also don't normal kids run around naked before 12 on a beach ?
Next thing you are going to see you don't get wine during school lunch
It's really evident who the creator supports and who the writer of a game about grief wants the message to be in yen's case.
Yeah, but she didn't. She didn't want a perfect family, she wanted a whole family, and that includes Verso in all his shitass glory.
damn, that'd explain why Painted Renoir was so desperate to have everyone back together. They were happy once, painted Alicia included. What the fuck was it that warped Verso into being such a cunt that he'd renounce everything? Did killing Julie really mindbreak him that bad? Or was it the appearance of the real renoir that made him realize he wasn't the real Verso in a painting but rather a painted copy?
The canvas stays, but erase all the humans. Keep the native of the canvas, like Gestrals and such, before getting polluted by family problems.
I'd guess the whole
I'm just a fake version of a dead dude my actually real mother is using as a "what if verso was here" chatbot that is slowly but surely killing her
part.
What the fuck was it that warped Verso into being such a cunt that he'd renounce everything?
Clea pulled up and blackpilled him into realizing this is all made up and he decided he wants to unpaint himself NOW
He cares more about the Aline part.
How happy he was when she was gone and renoir appeared to take his daughter home and he started disappearing JUST so Alicia could fix him and ruin his day.
He doesn’t instantly come to that conclusion
this would be the secret happy wholesome chungus ending, but the lead writer was too busy wanting to tell a story that actually has flawed characters so this can't happen since maelle is fighting to keep the canvas as is partially because she was born and raised as as human within its world and feels connected to those people
Only Clea is skilled enough to paint over other peoples creations, Alicia says so.
Well, there's proof with Painted Clea to show she's capable, but who was it that painted over/corrupted Simon? If it was Renoir, then it's just as likely Aline could have painted over pAlicia or painted her in that state from the begining. I'm struggling to figure out why she'd do that though, it'd have a constant reminder of her own pettiness just walking around and sipping tea with her fake husband and other children. I know she's a little loony, but that doesn't make sense.
Both endings are great. I keep flip-flopping between the two.
I fucking beat her. Turns out I wasn’t as well optimized as I thought. Some speed pictos on Maelle helped. I haven’t been bothering to mark, but I free aimed one shot, got a lucky mark, then stendhal finished her off. For me and my setup, that’s a goddamn achievement
I thought it was piss easy to be honest, one Stendhal did 95% damage, I had to reload a save to actually experience the fight. Of course at that point everything was a one shot. That's the problem with the balance in this game, it's one extreme or the other
As a matter of fact, she's kind of a cunt, when she speaks to renoir it's like a spoiled kid not getting what she wants.
She speaks like a person, who was born, raised and lived for 16 years in the world Renoire wants to destroy.
JFC the sheer ability to paint characters in a negative light while simultaneously giving pass to real psycho shit needs to be studied.
Nah, fuck the humans. The canvases were alright until humans and their drama corrupted the entire land. Monoco and Esquie deserve the place more than the humans. And Real Verso knows better than to get involved in his creations.
Verso not gommaging was a gift from Aline, it wasn't Alicia's meddling. He and the rest of the painted family were immune to gommage because Aline was focusing all her powers to protect them the entire time, so even if the countdown hit 0 they'd still be around thanks to all the stored up chroma they have (it's why they can do all the crazy light attacks). Also a neat detail, when you step up to execute the paintress after the real fight, she calls out to Verso and casts barrier on him.
It's more that act 3 is so open ended that it's very easy to go into an overly high level area and get broken off that.
Clea is definitely undertuned for a pinnacle boss though. She has next to no HP compared to the other pinnacle fights which I guess is because of her healing but with how much dmg you can output in this game, it's not enough.
16 years painting timeflow, which is not the same.
When you’re about to enter the paintress area, Lune says that “we still have little time left”, meaning expedition 33 actually took almost a year to reach the monolith
Clair Obscur dlc: A Life to Dream coming soon.
Every topic it brings up gets no resolution.
Did we ever resolve the imperial vs stormcloak argument?
is Verso the most based JRPG protagonist?
lumiere and everyone in it were added by aline so yeah they are quite literally perversions of baby verso's canvas, your post is correct. problem is, now maelle is attached to lumiere and its people because she lived as one. the canvas will always be bastardized since the only people advocating to keep it are also the ones who have twisted it into something entirely different. there can't be a resolution where they just unpaint all the bad stuff and restore the canvas to its initial state and get along happily, the grief tears the family apart because they're all polarized in how they handle it and that gives the story its tragedy and weight. a happy ending where they just do the logical happy medium and compromise would just be boring even if it'd save our nigga monoco without throwing verso in piano jail for eternity
Is Alines blessing the reason their hair turned white? It'd line up with the shattering and the beginning of the gommage. An Expedition 0 DLC would answer so many questions.
Well that hand does seem unusually large for Alicia.
Seeing this pic at the end hits different if you get the Maelle ending. Fuckin Verso in the eternal piano stool, credits sequence with the really somber title music as a backdrop, then BAM HE'S PLAYING THE PIANO LOOK HOW CUTE, his ass should not be that happy after you pick that ending
16 years painting timeflow, which is not the same.
???
It was real 16 years for Alicia when she was Maelle. Canvas having time dilation doesn't meat their year feels faster then our year inside. That's not how different time flows work. Do you think their world has 20 minute day-night cycles like in Minecraft?
When you’re about to enter the paintress area, Lune says that “we still have little time left”, meaning expedition 33 actually took almost a year to reach the monolith
Yes, that's how game abstractions work. In game it looks like less than a week passed since they embarked, but canonically they probably spent much longer on continent.
Fuck off with your DLCs. Either they make a free Gold Ending/GOTY edition or they make a new game.
Don't pay attention to pic, attached it accidentally
Prior to the fight, my max stendhal damage was about 600k. I knew it would be tough, so after messing with weapons and stats, it was about 800-2M. With added speed it was enough to get her to 1/3 ish, and it would have been hopeless if that one shot didn’t mark. So yeah, I get it, piss easy if you know what you’re doing, but I never totally adapted to the damage cap being removed
Either they make a free Gold Ending/
They aren't
You can't blame Alicia for behaving that way. She literally got her brother killed, and her family hated her except her dad.
Her obsession with painted Verso is kind of realistic. In her eyes he is her absolution, the only way to escape her guilt.
The irony is it's not Gustave that could persuade Alicia to leave the canvas, it's Verso. For he is the living image of her late brother, his words hold much more weight to her than anyone else. If only Verso wasn't acting like an angsty teenager and tried to reason with her. But of course he told her to fuck off and paint something else lmao.
Medalum was multiplying all damage by four instead of just burn damage.
Humans are flawed
Yeah, and that's why humans need to not exist in the canvas, and the Dessandre family should not be allowed within 10 feet of the canvas. Just seal it in the heavily-guarded museum under the non-Dessendre painters or something.
A Life to Dream
last song composed
exists just as a farewell for Alicia and Maelle
Ok good, full steam ahead with a new game, hopefully about Writers.
how?
Reminder, it's completely possible Verso fucked Sophie while she and Gustave were split up. He did make frequent trips to lumiere to keep tabs on Maelle, and Sophie does say "I've heard so much about to you" to Maelle. From whom I wonder.
You can say it’s game abstraction, yes, it’s possible. But in this case, given the nature of everything it’s also possible that abstraction is contextualized and canonized in-universe. Like many other things are.
It’s not given that Maelle had 16 years worth of experiences in the canvas as we would understand it
just keep playing, in the next area there's an air balloon that takes you there
She speaks like a person, who was born, raised and lived for 16 years in the world Renoire wants to destroy
No, she sounds like a spoiled teenager.
Realize how she doesn't mention canvas people or their right EVEN ONCE, all she says is
I've lost so much
Aline specifically says in the greenhouse journal that she can't be around Alicia because their guilt and misery are mirrors for each other, I don't think she blames Alicia for Verso's death necessarily but Alicia's sustained grief over it makes it really hard for Aline to be around her as it's a constant reminder
Scene > Meme > Gene
I don’t remember that
You can have a headcannon about 20 minute minecraft days if you really want, but it doesn't sound plausible and takes away from the game. But you do you.
No one hated her, not even the mother, you find her journal close Gustave’s grave in the monolith(because there was not enough evidence that Gusave is Verso), in which she says she just cannot be near Alicia because Alicia’s pain are like broken shards of a mirror that reflect tenfold the pain
Why would she mention people that Renoire instantly genocided without a second though? Her only chance was to appeal to his emotions towards herslef.
That’s the thing though, i am saying you have a headcanon, your explanation of Lune’s words are meta and not in-universe
But yeah, you do you
It's really evident who the creator supports
Yeah. The White race.
Because pAlicia is deliberately weird-looking and monochrome as Aline's "fuck you" to real Alicia.
On the other had, pClea is weird-looking as Clea's "fuck you" to Aline.
she gave her burn scars even in the painting and when they get to the paintress, the first thing she does to Maelle is set her face on fire lol
The Dessendre didn't give a shit about painted people either. Between Renoir's genocide and Clea mindfucking them, i'd say the way Alicia treated them is humane.
After all you can't ask a god to treat an ant equally can you?
towards herslef.
That's all she does, it's always ME ME ME and her ending is the logical conclusion
I know you want to die but I want you alive so pay for me
You may think whatever you want, but I am sorry anon, minecraft days will never be plausible to anyone and you are the only one autistic enough to take narrative time compression at face value.
She burns everyone not just her
And again in her own journal speaking about how she feels, she makes it clear why stays clear of Alicia and it’s not hatred
You may think whatever you want
Right back at you.
And many will find it plausible. Clea says she spent more time in that canvas than Alicia, would someone like Clea really spend decades worth of experiences in something she ultimately considers fake?
the person who wants happy life for others and to save the world
actually, it's selfish and she is bad
the person who wants to destroy the world, backstabs everyone, kills his closest friends just to achieve his own goal?
actually, it's good and altruistic
It's like I am reading some psyop subversion tactic shit
I also got the impression that time moves faster for them. We can see how far away the paintress is, and how incredibly hard it would be to survive a week, so none of those expeditions should have to worry about time unless they were wasting it somewhere safe. I think it’s a slight inconsistency between lore and what they intended for Maelle’s years
Frenchies - "they're bittersweet. That's life"
Americans on Anon Babble - "NOOOOOO I NEED MY GOLDEN ENDING"
t.hanks
>the person who wants happy life for others and to save the world
Now point out a single instance of the ending where Alicia says this beyond
think of everyone else!
and then she goes back right to her and her own issues.
What the ending ACTUALLY says
the person who wants to run away, enslave her brother and her brother's soul
actually, it's selfish and she is bad
the person who wants his sister to stop being a suicidal retard
actually, it's good and altruistic
Alicia is NOT a good person and is as selfish and self destructive as Aline, in fact, she does everything Aline does.
Yeah the 60 were broken as fuck, straight ran to the paintress and then still didn’t have enough time and got gommaged
the person who wants his sister to stop being a suicidal retard
Dumbass actually he fell for his lies
bro she wants to fuck him
clearest case of yandere brocon
prolly started the fire herself
I need to post one last time before the thread gommages that Simon is a fucking meme. Literally no encounter in this game approaches even 5% of how hard this nigga is. Who the fuck is supposed to be the second hardest fight? Clea? Her healthbar is literally made of paper and she's weak to void, something you can convert all physical damage to with a 5 lumina cost picto that drops IN HER DUNGEON. If all else fails, fuck it, just stack shields and laugh in her face like you do any other boss because they're busted.
Then there's Simon. If you play honestly, he literally just rips everything you could possibly use to protect yourself (shields, high defense, high vit) and spams 800 attacks in a row that you have to dodge or parry or else you just eat shit and die. And then, cherry on top, he just removes characters right after they die so you can't even scrub it out by spamming rez tints. I'm about to just give up and try coming up with some OTK cheese build because I'm sick of this motherfucker. I'd rather replay charmless demon bell Sekiro one handed than fight this fucking retarded fight even one more time. How could you put this fucker in a TURN BASED RPG?
Cool design and lore though
Verso tells her to leave
NO NO NO NO NO NO NO
Also the golden president and the golden dome
Real Verso was a selfish lying two faced cunt. So? He still sacrificed himself to save his little sister. Fake Verso is the same, he even said the same words Real Verso did at the end.
for me the parry-only guy was the hardest as I cant parry for shit :)
Alicia was open to just talk things out. Verso had his chance to give her time to heal, convince her to unpaint him and leave. If he cared about anyone but himself he'd take that chance in a heartbeat. But the ONLY thing he cares about is killing himself.
Lumiere needs level scaling.
Real Verso lived for 26 years and all his "lies" were related to him not wanting to paint. Painted Verso is a 100 years old jaded shadow of real Verso.
She speaks like a person, who was born, raised and lived for 16 years in the world Renoire wants to destroy.
This is one thing I really enjoy with the writing: Lune, Sciel and Gustave/Verso interact with each other as adult while interacting with Maelle as a 16 yo teenager.
He's a jaded wreck, but at his core he is still Verso, the same verso that sacrificed his life for Alicia.
He honestly shouldn’t have
You can dodge though. And it's much easier to dodge the light speed combo for example
he just removes characters right after they die
He needs a turn to do that. If you have enough speed on you and slow on him, you have time to revive characters.
You don't need one shot build, but you need heavy damage.
Simon is your test for building characters. He is honestly pretty easy when you approach him as a problem to solve as opposed to something you power through.
If I had a 16 year old sister, I wouldn’t let her die in a fire if I could help it
Still one shots you on Story Mode
Lmao look at those illiterate contrarian still pretending that this isn't the obviosu and only truth
they are literally too stupit do understand basic stories
i was playing bg3
Oh you are a stupid gay, got it
another brainlet filtered
He couldn't fly with people on his back without his rocks and if he flew up to help Gustave by dumping Lune and Sciel in the water they would've been murdered by the boss that had just reappeared
she's an addict and he wouldn't have other chances to kick her out
Stories are not for you. They are too much for you. Just stop
