Best PS2 RPG?
Best PS2 RPG?
Persona 3 or SMT Nocturne
Can't go wrong with any SMT on PS2
God of War
I can't decide if I care more about how Shadow Hearts went from gothic to camp with every game, the series is all great but Shadow Hearts was one of the few gothic horror RPGs out there and now its tone is mega different.
berwick saga or wild arms 5
I like Shadow Hearts 3 a lot, there I said it. It's like playing a fucking JoJo RPG
from kino that is Koudelka to this
what the fuck happened, they went full anime after Koudelka and it was for the worse
Koudelka was fucking awesome but the gameplay is awful, pretty much the reverse of SH2. Can't beat the party dynamic of Koudelka though, those motherfuckers hated each other
Is there a better combat system than the Judgement Ring in SH2 specifically? What else is even close to as fun? Press Turn maybe?
How does Anon Babble feel about BoF5? I just tried and completed the game a week ago and found it fun. It has a good atmosphere, some challenge, good music, and engaging gameplay. It's also short and can be beaten within a few sessions.
I tried Shadow Hearts but I wasn't too into it, I stopped after the cannibal village. Do people consider Covenant better?
I'm mixed, like I said I miss the tone of the first game but literally everything about the second game is massively improved. Take the Judgement Ring, in the first game it's engaging enough and rewards timing and punished shit reflexes, in the second game they added a ton of mechanics around it like combos, launching and slamming people, customising judgement rings and more interesting attacks, I can never go back honestly.
Nope, it's this. But SH2 is a great game all the same
I absolutely fucking loved Wild Arms 3, but until a remaster makes some changes to it I probably wont play it again. Fun dungeons though
This is on the list after I beat the Suikoden remasters probably
Please tell me this game doesn't ruin the fun RPG part with shit army battles again?
It's good, but very different from 1 and 2. The story is better but the dual character system in battles will take some getting used to. Also, level up your Magic skill if you plan to use runes, as it boosts damage and cuts down spell cast time (yes that is a thing in 3).
Which was the PS2 Suikoden everyone hated again, 4 or 5?
What if Clair Obscur's plot twist was implemented properly?
This one. It's not that bad, maybe a 6/10
At least it's short as hell (shorter than 2, but longer than 1)
What a kino thread
For me its SH2, absolutely love this game
I have my issues with it but it's really the peak of the combat system, combos are satisfying to pull off
I really like BoF5, ahead of its time
I just feel bad when people say the tone of SH3 was stupid when as a Koudelka fan I had to see the tone shift start with SH1
fuck bandai namco for letting this franchise rot
Also these
I likes that your castle was a boat.
Is it Shadow Hearts 2 or 3 that had the gay vampire wrestler
Shadow Hearts wasn't -that- different from Koudelka. It was 2 that got goofy with the gay Gama, wolf bouts and the man festival shit.
2
3 has the brazilian ninja and the fat cat
Yes. The Grand Papillion. It also had Grigori Rasputin was a demon-possessed bad guy
SH2 had the implied anal sex scene, wild shit
the brazilian ninja
the scene where he gets the sword in the stone is hilarious
I bet these look sick all lined up in a row on a shelf
You forgot gay wrestler vampire superhero
Does this series ever explain what the vampire family are doing or whatever
I have my issues with it but it's really the peak of the combat system
Has one of my favourite battle themes in any RPG as well youtube.com
The Digital Devil Saga snub
this was dogged upon launch and I think BoF fans still hate it but it's an amazing RPG.
GTA SA
Yep, Shadow Hearts is indeed the best.
anyone ever play this, how is it
Been meaning to play 7 the Cavalry of Molmorth, can anyone recommend?
I have not benched Karin from the minuteshe joined my party, even when Lucia joined
Koudelka and Edward didn't hate each other by the end.
If they did then Halley wouldn't have existed.
However they both fucking hated James
I plan to replay SH2, hope I like it as much as I did decades ago
Only worried the difficulty will be too low
They dont have sex in the ending where James lives too, which is sad because I liked James precisely because he was a piece of shit priest.
Druaga is good. It plays like a roguelike but the levels aren't randomized so it's more about learning how to get to the boss of the dungeon effectively and getting the right gear to do so. It also has great atmosphere and music. If you like roguelike style games I think it's worth a shot. It emulates well.
I never played this game but i remembering seeing it in a gaming store and founding this box art extremely beautiful. Have been curious about it ever since.
